One Year In Leuven: Eppy Birds in Leuven
http://oneyearinleuven.blogspot.com/2008/05/eppy-birds-in-leuven.html
One Year In Leuven. A place to share the life lessons and chemistry lessons learned as I complete a one year post-doctoral position at K.U. Leuven. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Eppy Birds in Leuven. About a month ago there was a Guinness record broken in Leuven and I missed it. I found out that night while watching the news that over 1300 Diet Coke Mentos fountains went off in the Ladeuzeplein. How cool. Here is a news story about it with a video for those interested. Mentos fountains in Leuven.

One Year In Leuven: The Kermis (Carnival)
http://oneyearinleuven.blogspot.com/2008/05/kermis-carnival.html
One Year In Leuven. A place to share the life lessons and chemistry lessons learned as I complete a one year post-doctoral position at K.U. Leuven. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. In any case, each Kermis has snacks, rides, and games to suck your money away. Most are pretty ghetto and the idea of eating escargot from the back of a trailer is pretty disgusting to me. But then again, I love me a good ballpark frank out of a greasy street side vendor in Chicago, so what's the difference? So all in all the kermis w...

I returned to Kansas on July 4th in a fairly uneventful flight. Just a small detour due to a storm. I have spent the time since then enjoying my kids and working on house projects. I am looking very forward to this fall to starting my time at Tabor. Thanks for reading this blog. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My life in Leuven: Brugge: world heritage city
http://lissislivinginleuven.blogspot.com/2010/10/brugge-world-heritage-city.html
Monday, 11 October 2010. Brugge: world heritage city. I have been thinking ab. Out what I should write about this amazing city. I found impossible to say how it makes me feel. It's the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders. Brugge. Even the name is beautiful. Some people call it the Venice of the North because it's full of canals. I've been to Venice and I can say it's really different. You can find all the information about the city and also a really nice panoramic views. Subscribe t...

My life in Leuven: September 2010
http://lissislivinginleuven.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 September 2010. It's quite difficult to explain which kind of city is Brussel. because it's really different from the other belgian cities. Not only is the biggest city, it's also the political and cultural centre, a risky mix of cultures, you can get lost in its streets and then feel like far away. but I think that if walloon and flemish struggle for it, they must have good reasons. It's quite sweet but you can also find spicy ones. Posted by Liss Roura. Saturday, 18 September 2010. La Can...

My life in Leuven: August 2010
http://lissislivinginleuven.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 23 August 2010. S families, students, old people sitting and discussing about everything. One of my best streets in Leuven is the Muntstraat which is situated behind the Old City Hall and you can find lots of different restaurants. It's lovely to go for a walk during the afternoon there, when most people are sitting outside and having dinner, so you can see the meals they've chosen and decide what you want! University Library - Ladeuzeplein. Posted by Liss Roura. Thursday, 19 August 2010. These a...

My life in Leuven: in the heart of Europe
http://lissislivinginleuven.blogspot.com/2010/10/in-heart-of-europe.html
Wednesday, 6 October 2010. In the heart of Europe. Most of the subjects I'm studying at the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven are related to European Studies. This mean that I'm attending to lessons about politics, international relations, arts, literature. always related to Europe. Belgium is at least one of the most important countries in the European Union and if you're studying here you cannot ignore that. I just want to show everybody these maps because I'm sure you'll think about it.

My life in Leuven: October 2010
http://lissislivinginleuven.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 October 2010. The funniest thing of learning dutch is that in the lessons you meet people from different countries and all of us have to learn the new language from the english (and that's neither my native language), so it's a bit more difficult but I really enjoy. If you don't have a lot of courses to follow and you want to learn something new, it's a good choice! It really doesn't matter if I'll use it again, I'll see :) but now it's being useful! January 8, 2016. Yikes I told you all to hassle if this blog got dusty. Clearly not my fault it’s been so long. Guilt aside, I wanted to share some memories and thoughts from the past few months. The pictures above are literally the only pictures (besides the ones of my car for my mechanic of a father) I’ve taken since last time. Me, Adrianna, and Scotty at Catalyst conference in Atlanta, GA back in October. One of us is sleeping. But clearly none of us are paying attention. I love the young adult commun...
