I just couldn't bring myself to write anything because it was always going to be "the last time we ." It was simply too depressing. Journey of a Thousand Miles. Our one-year adventure in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Saturday, December 27, 2008. My Parents' Christmas Visit. Thanks to the horrible ice and snow that central Illinois received last week, my parents' travel plans were altered slightly, but they finally made it safely to Winston-Salem on Tuesday evening. Our days together were so fun and full that I have to focus on just the highlights. Christmas Eve Lovefeast at Home Moravian Church in Old Salem. We got some great gifts!
