Onion River Chorus History. Onion River Chorus was founded in 1978 by Larry Gordon and Brian Webb. Larry was the organizer and came up with most of the programming ideas and Brian served as conductor for the first ten years. It has always been a non-auditioned community chorus, open to anyone interested in singing rather eclectic programs of classical and contemporary choral music. Sing With Onion RIver Chorus. New singers are welcome to join ORC in the beginning of the fall (September) and spring (January) terms. Though there is no audition required some sight reading experience is essential. Information about the first rehearsal of each term will be posted on this page several weeks in advance. Rehearsals are every MONDAY 7-9PM at Christ Church, 64 State St. Montpelier, VT, upstairs in the Taplin Auditorium. Onion River Chorus Rehearsals Begin. Or 477-3922/476-2541. Montpelier.
