http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 31, 2006. The day of non-achievements. I finally finish this LONG post that i'd been working on for the last 5 days, and it disappears. I finally find this one song that i've been DYING to listen to (thanks to dweebs), and it isn't available for downloading. I finally book some tickets for a trip, online, and my bank refuses to pay. I finally try to light the fireplace all by myself, and it actually does! Never mind that it dies out in 15 min. What u all reading? Monday, October 23, 2006.

sattva: August 2006
http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Tantrums of the terrible threes? At some point, A decided it wasn't worth it and moved on to the sohn-papdi on the table, without a bowl. she dropped most of it.and was immediately admonished by her mum, who promptly appeared with a bowl that she insisted A use. A refused. this was followed by a long pause, after which the mum just thrust the bowl into A's hands. more sulking and drama. A holy bow to every single parent in the world. HOW on earth did our's bring us up! This is o...

sattva: September 2006
http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 29, 2006. For the dancing queen and her sharaabi. For helping me see what i was missing,. For reminding me of who i am. And pushing me to ask why. For unshaken support across the seas. But most of all,. For your truth and faith rooted in love. Posted by sattva at 6:24 AM. Thursday, September 21, 2006. Meri aankhein dekhein tum mein. Kabhi antariksh kabhi diya. Woh sab jo dhoondke bhi. Mujhse hamesha tha chupa. Yehi tho tha, yehi tho hai. Jo maine tha jaan-na chaaha. With this grand star...

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. As imagined by s.h.raza. Posted by sattva at 12:52 PM. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I was recently gifted a spanking new bicycle.a gorgeous white and orange (and no sushma, the orange isn't autumn sunrise like my hair :) . the last time i rode was in the 8th Std, when i'd ride my precious electric blue cycle to school everyday. that was moons ago. and that was VERY different from riding now. I may as well give up and laugh! Posted by sattva at 4:13 AM. Monday, May 29, 2006. A man was w...

Friday, December 08, 2006. For my godchild A. The pure and sacred. You are named after. May you be freed. Like in the myth. S and r: our deepest love and joy for your precious. Posted by sattva at 8:20 AM. Wednesday, December 06, 2006. It all makes perfect sense". Food is served gums". To my albert pinto. Kabhi neem-neem, kabhi shehed-shehed. Kabhi naram-naram, kabhi sakht-sakht. Mora piya, mora piya.". X: so do you know if it's a boy or a girl? S: whatever it is, it is an engineer. Sometimes i wonder ho...

sattva: January 2007
http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 10, 2007. More rambling. read at your own risk. The thing about becoming a new parent is that really, nobody else has the patience or the interest to hear you gush except for your spouse. so a typical conversation about the entire event and about m goes like this:. X: so, how is the new mommy doing? What i say: very well, thanks.quite tired, but still very well. Is it discomfort/pain due to gas? Of course, all this is not a patch on actually becoming a mom. X: and how is m? And he has ...

Wednesday, July 26, 2006. From my LB to A. Hope you get well soon. For your doggies miss you. You know they love you. You bring them french fries. And put them to bed. Now that you're not there. It's no fun, they said. And your lovely yellow car. For its favourite driver. Who worships it ardently. Please come back soon. Once again, to play with them. While i wait to hear your tales. My saintly little friend. Posted by sattva at 10:17 AM. Thursday, July 20, 2006. Words don't come easy to me. The pedlars f...

http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 27, 2006. Imagine the hues brighter and distinctly different from each other, and you'll "get the picture"! Anyway.this is my attempt at depicting ardh-naareshwar. Posted by sattva at 10:29 PM. There are many many stories that i would love to share.but for now, i will instead quote a few verses. How did Ravana fail to consider. How wrong it was to steal another's wife! How too was Rama unable to see. That a golden deer could never be! And how did Yudhishthira as well fall prey. I always w...

sattva: November 2006
http://sattva5.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 27, 2006. Some lines i stumbled upon, from 'The Odyssey' by Homer, translated by Robert Fitzgerald:. Now from his breast into his eyes the ache. Of longing mounted, and he wept at last,. His dear wife, clear and faithful, in his arms,. Longed for as the sunwarmed earth is longed for by a swimmer. Spent in rough water where his ship went down. Under Poseidon's blows, gale winds and tons of sea. Few men can keep alive through a big surf. To crawl, clotted with brine, on kindly beaches.
