Sunday, October 23, 2005. Chensational Puppets to hit the big screen. Well Chensational Puppets has just made a big step in its company accomplishments this past year. Here is the most recent part of that journey. This is the face of a little cat character I have been working on for the past month. What is it for? Well I was approached a little while back by the prop master for a new film being shot in and around the Greater Toronto Area. The movie is called It's a Boy Girl Thing. Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Well, on the second day I got to do some more balcony puppeteering. Both of these puppets were built by Noreen Young and I performed the little grey OPP dog on the right (that is a scarecrow on the left). I am surprised how much I enjoyed doing the balcony puppeteering. We were even able to get a few passing cheerleaders to stop and do some cheers. I made it a point to challenge their spelling skills. No simple "Gimme' a W-I-N here! These are really called MrFreeze. Hands down...

Friday, July 22, 2005. Backing up" some new fashioned Mŏd-Vŏd. Well is stands for modern vaudeville and it is perhaps best described in this news clip. At the beginning of this year I did some background puppeteering to help out fellow puppeteer and puppet builder Matt Ficner. And his new project with Elliot Smith. They were creating a show that was a throw back to the old vaudeville comedy routines with a splash of technology and a pinch of puppetry. The show was being created for the Casino du Lac-Leamy.

Saturday, December 17, 2005. Introducing Chimp TV.or Not. Well I usually don't announce things until they are completed, but this is a situation that just developed and I think it is an unsual situation (and I have been waiting a very long time to annouce it). Over a year ago I contacted Blazin' Goat Pictures. To have some footage that I shot edited. I have been building puppets for this project for over a year (in my spare time) and I filmed additional footage in that time as well. That was put online.

Thursday, November 24, 2005. Project Puppet.com Experiment. Yes, the puppet you see is of Darth Maul. From the Star Wars Trilogy. Popped up on my radar. The company offers professional quality puppet patterns with easy to follow instructions. I liked the look of the puppets. And I thought it would be a good idea to buy a pattern or two and try them out. But how should I use them? Here is my first attemt. Darth Maul. I used the Rotondo pattern. Well two reasons. First, I find working with poly foam mo...
