On The Go Updates. Thursday, August 2, 2012. A very spectacular sight. We hiked up one of the trails a little way and found this view. About 5400' elevation. It's quite a drive just to get to the mountain and visitor center at Paradise on Mt Rainer. Then another long drive to Mt St Helen's. But the view was worth it. Went to Windy Ridge Observatory. I know why they call it windy ridge. Then we climbed up a lot of stair steps to see even more. You can see four mountains from here! Rainer, McKinnley (?
