On the Road to Santiago: On Leaving Santiago

http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/2007/08/on-leaving-santiago.html

On the Road to Santiago. Tuesday, 21 August 2007. Well the "Black Cat" is no more. There is a "Black Cat" image on the wall but the doors are long since locked. However the ever resourceful duo of Italian counts, Massimo and Francisco, found a superb tapas bar and introduced us to the delights of tapas, eight off. None of your Glasgow kiddy-on stuff, the real deal. On a lighter note, I have done the tourist bit and bought the presents, all bar the chocolates and my Camino Tshirt. Greg has to be out tomor...

On the Road to Santiago: Updating 3: the saga continues

http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/2007/08/updating-3-saga-continues.html

On the Road to Santiago. Friday, 10 August 2007. Updating 3: the saga continues. One fianl comment about Bodialla del Camino before moving on. The place is reasonably large for a typical village but it seems to be devoid of any human activity other than that surrounding the albergue. Not one resident was abroad throughout the whole time we were there. Saw a horse (and took a photo thereof) but that was about it. Strange wee place. Will followup later, people waiting to use the PC. I was very happy to mee...

On the Road to Santiago: Onwards to Astorga

http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/2007/08/onwards-to-astorga.html

On the Road to Santiago. Wednesday, 15 August 2007. With the departure of Mark for pastures west, the Caminoistas were reduced to a party of two, Greg and myself. We hoofed out of Leon looking forward to an easy day with only 20km to Villamazarife, a reportedly small and very intersting village on th road to Astorga. Easy day it was and we arrived early enough to surprise the albergue manager still organising for that days intake. Next morning we headed out for Astorga, 33km further on. Walked throug...

On the Road to Santiago: Update 4

http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/2007/08/update-4.html

On the Road to Santiago. Wednesday, 15 August 2007. At about 11am, I shambled into the next wee town (name forgotten) to find mark sitting enjoying the shade and another Cola light. We star and chatted with a few of the fellow travellers for a while before heading out on the last 9km of the days target. Natalie, one of the German walkers, was not feeling too well and decided to stay there. We all put on the wet weather gear, stepped out the door (approx. 6.00am) and the rain stopped. Change o...We passed...

On the Road to Santiago: Santiago

http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/2007/08/santiago.html

On the Road to Santiago. Friday, 17 August 2007. Yep We did it. My Viking Vixen and me arrived in Santiago de Compostela at around 8:00pm wednesday. We stopped for the best Peregrino menu we have had (top quality food why can´t the others do this? Then very slowly started to walk the last 11km to Santiago. Anyway, that and many others were once again discussed on the walk. An hour later there we stood in front of the impressive Cathedral. There was no band playing. No-one to put medals around our...Don&#...

On The Road To Ruin

Sunday, December 16, 2007. Verizon. For A Change. I made this short little clip about a year ago, but thought it was still relevant. I have been inspired by Ryanne to post a video a day this month. I probably won't be able to post one every day, but gonna give it a shot. I have soooo much footage to choose from. Cheers! Friday, August 18, 2006. The last four years seem to have flown by.and on a rainy week-end in Vermont, Ashley's family gathered to watch her last day at Bennington College. Tuesday, March ...

On the Road to Ruins | Where Middle Age Meets the Bronze Age

On the Road to Ruins. Where Middle Age Meets the Bronze Age. I have wanted to go to Greece since I was 20. It’s taken me a while to get there. Originally, I planned to stay four weeks, but it seemed impossible to see and do everything there was to see and do. So my plans stretched to six weeks. But as I pored over maps, I couldn’t help but notice that Istanbul was so. Thank you all for coming along! Until the next trip, which, frankly, can’t be soon enough. May 31, 2015. So now begins the tossing out&#46...

On the Road to Sew Wear

On the Road to Sew Wear. I have never kept a journal and have sometimes regretted it - especially when I am learning something new. I thought it would be a good idea to record my journey on the road to learning to sew and blogging is an ideal way to keep my thoughts organised and to remember how far I have come - hopefully :-). This is my first *real* foray into sewing and my first attempt at blogging. Sunday, 7 June 2015. I know I know - 1st world problem! I just wanted to touch base and let you know yo...
