Sunday, July 12, 2015. Recreation in the Yucatan: Cantina Crawl! Last night for the first time (since college days anyway! I experienced a cantina crawl which is the Mexican version of bar hopping. However instead of being in a limo like is done for bachelor parties and the such, we used our feet! By the end of our time at the Carlotta, our group was getting really happy. Mike and Lisa negotiated for a couple of the bar buckets and were happy to leave with two which will go back to Canada with them!

Monday, October 24, 2011. I must be color blind. This is the green I wanted for the house facade. I won't bore you with the story of an entire day looking at toilets! But if you are bored by paint colors you may just want to look at the photos! This was serious business! Room by room the colors were discussed and chosen, sometimes two colors for one room! Now, remember how Alan and I (well. mostly I) have anguished over how we will get ourselves and our animals to Mérida? Within a few months after we arrive in Mérida, the vehicle will be 10 years old and, if we were told correctly by Girl Friday, we should be able to nationalize it with our FM3's. We jokingly called her Saint Claire. Not that she was saintly, but she seemed so compared to the rest of us. She had a great sense of humor. She had a bulls@#t meter that was spot on.
