Forgot to mention that between Agra and Jaipur I visited the abadoned city of Fatepur Sikri (sadly not so abandoned that there aren't still millions of street traders trying to flog their cra . be polite . wares, I got a candle holder, I don't know how I ever got by without it). It wasn't the depth of the water that worried me! I'm stunned. Then he asks for 200 rupees! Labels: Some pics from Delhi and Agra (the people selling fruit are outside the birthplace of Mahmat Gandhi).

Tuesday, 31 March 2009. The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. It´s actually a couple of days since I staggered, like a geriatric after one too many, onto a bus out of Machu Picchu. We treked for four days along the Inca Trail, arriving at Machu Picchu early on the fourth, and then scaled the 300-metre high Waynupicchu. Thursday, 26 March 2009. Monday, 26 January 2009. Escape to the Blue Mountains. After work I caught a train to Katoomba in the slightly cooler Blue Mountains so called because the gum trees and some other vegetations sometimes cause this blue mist to rise up around them. apparently. Saturday, 28 February 2009. Travelling the South Island. Anyway, Abel Tasman was overshadowed by Golden Bay, where we went the following day, which had huge rolling hills, mountains and rocks, and as the name suggested massive pale gold beaches. We stayed in a rural hostel with a giant hammock, made from a fishing net, hung over a stream. It was fantastic. Saturday, 27 September 2008. Had a more chilled 12 hours after a crazy 24 hours - lot of food for thought, which I'm going to share with you as blogs are supposed to be warts and all.
