This beer is a simple beer. October 5, 2016. Bull; 7 Comments. The first brew on my new system. Wasn’t entirely smooth sailing. A learning experience to be sure. I had my concerns that what I created wouldn’t be palatable at all. 2 weeks later I was pleasantly surprised by the result; a lovely session IPA. I used a super simple grain bill and hop schedule. No sparge, no problem. September 20, 2016. Bull; 12 Comments. When I was designing my new brewery. I wanted to come up with something that would allow me to produce beers quickly and consistently. One time/space/money saving measure I took was to do without sparging. On my previous system I was getting brewhouse efficiency that was in the mid 80s with a single batch sparge. With my new system, I was prepared for values 10-15% lower. It turns out for my new system. My brewhouse efficiency will be around 7...
