Yesterday we did the site announcement ceremony thing. They blindfolded all of us, led us around a big map on Senegal painted on the basketball court. Then, after a count to three we all removed our blindfolds to see where we would be spending the next two years. I'll let you know. Everyone is really nice to you, you don't need to shave anymore, you have the ultimate excuse for everything, and you get the satisfaction of making people feel awkward when they're stupid enough to ask you why you're bald. Sunday, February 12, 2012. It's under my skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin! On Friday I had surgery again; this time to have a portacath (click here for more info). Put into my chest so they don't wreck my veins during chemo. This is a good thing, because I've had to have three IVs in the last two weeks and they aren't very fun.
