Saturday, July 24, 2010. Pool #3 and Richardson, TX. We were blessed to be able to swim in yet another beautiful pool this week. The family who owns this one was on vacation this week. We certainly enjoyed the bubbling spa with the fountain, as well as the large beautiful (heated) pool! In this weather you really don't NEED the water to be so warm, but it was a luxury. As has the picnic lunch at a park. So far, Johnny has found some beautiful parks to stop at! Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Within 5 minutes of ...

Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Emelie has a really cute art style. These are some of her latest little people. And here's the artist at work. We're making up chocolate for a few orders. We have lots of help, as you can see! As Hanna and I were taking a walk up the lane yesterday, our "'neighbor" (1/2 a mile away! Was picking up pecans in his yard, and asked us if we wanted any. He gave us a whole shopping bag full! So if you're ordering any chocolate from us, you'll get some REALLY great pecans in them!

Friday, December 9, 2011. New Baby In The House! Our new baby, Blake Hunter. Is a week old now! Born in the wee hours of the morning, November 30, 2011. Weighed exactly 7 lbs, and measured 19" long. Very sweet, very healthy, and very loved. Chase is more than a little delighted that he has a brother! And I'm realizing once again that a person can actually survive on intervals of sleep, rather than a full, solid 8 hours! This is the season when children tend to get earaches! Have the child lay down on his...

Thursday, September 16, 2010. We are finally moved into our own house. For those of you who need/want a mailing address, remind me via e-mail. . This house is the largest we've ever lived in! 160;The children love having an upstairs, and I am getting into shape "doing the stairs" each day. :) We have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths! 160;What a luxury! 160;The living room has a fireplace - a real one, not gas logs - so we're looking forward to using it this winter! It was SUPER dirty. . 160;There's always some...

Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Marissa bought this tiny tea set at the Justin Trading Post. The girls take turns having "tea" with her after school on certain days. . It's very dainty, so teeny-tiny sandwiches and miniature cookies are always in order. Lots of fun. . I'll post pics some other time of Justin, TX - the place where Justin Boots are made. It's a surprisingly small town, and fun to visit.). Chase decided he'd "trim the bush" in front of the house the other day.with bolt cutters! While we wer...

Happy House: March
http://ballengerhappyhouse.blogspot.com/2014/03/march.html
Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Recent random snapshots around the house and outdoors here at MeadowBrook. Allison, Hanna, Marissa and Cole watching. And a few nights ago we had a picnic supper out at the barn around the campfire! Sneaky dogs waiting for unsuspecting children to drop a yummy morsel of pizza to the ground below. Heating up their sticks. All in all it was a very fun picnic supper though Blake did step on a hot coal. Poor thing was more surprised then hurt. (:. Lovely Early Spring Blossoms!

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Saturday we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards, and it was worth every minute and every penny! When you stroll along this elevated walkway, you can see down into all the pens of horses/cattle/mules/etc. This day they were having a Horse Auction, and it most definitely wasn't a sale of old worn-out nags. These were worthy ranch horses for the most part, well-trained and ready to work. The average prices were between 900 and $1800. A huge white mule who was obviously VERY highl...

Monday, February 21, 2011. Fort Worth Stockyards - February. We spent Saturday afternoon at the Fort Worth Stockyards again. It's an area that covers several blocks, so this time we went to places we hadn't seen before. This furniture store had all things western, and most of the pieces looked as if they belonged in a lodge or huge log home. Massive furniture, most of it! I loved this sectional couch, minus the free-floating pillows. I THINK it would fit all of us! They were bigger (by far! Very pretty p...

Friday, December 24, 2010. While traveling in France, author William J. Lederer was so touched by the actions of an American Navy Sailor on Christmas Eve that he sent the following letter to the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, D.C, Admiral David L. McDonald. Admiral David L. McDonald, USN. Chief of Naval Operations. Washington, D.C. Dear Admiral McDonald,. Eighteen people asked me to write this letter to you. On our right, the German wife began berating her husband. All of us were interrupted by...

Sunday, May 15, 2011. How do you fold a t-shirt? This is so hilarious! In the spirit of efficiency, along the lines of Mr. Gilbreth (Cheaper By The Dozen), try your hand at folding a t-shirt more quickly, neatly, and yes, efficiently! I'm laughing, but I AM going to try this! Do not skip these links. They'll make your day! Japanese T-Shirt Folding in English. Japanese T-shirt Folding.in Japanese!
