Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Monday, March 31, 2008. Late Nights and Moral Conflicts. So it's five thirty in the morning and I'm at work. No I don't start work early I'm at the end of my shift. But I digress. The company that I work for (will remain nameless) is known amongst enviormental and human rights groups for destructive behavior. Most of there actions took place in the 1890s and 1920s but the reputation still stands for a reason. Posted by Another Angry Veteran.

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Tuesday, April 08, 2008. Putting Sports Before People. I've read many an article about the protests surrounding the torch run by the Chinese goverment building up to the Olympic games. What intrigues me is how anyone can say that we need to not get politics involved and protect the "spirit" of the games. I was unaware that a global sporting event was more important then people's rights and lives. What a fucked up concept. Links to this post.

Wednesday, June 25, 2008. When Johnny Came Marching Home. Written in November 2007 by a soldier who had served with 2/1 Cav out of Ft Lewis. I used to be a soldier in the second calvary. Until the army said that they no longer needed me. So I stayed home while my brothers went to war. Well Johnny jumped out into the sand.

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Friday, August 29, 2008. Another convention gone and done and another moment of history ignored by both the media and the politicians. At the moment I have nothing more to say being too disappointed to really form the words. Coming up though will be a comprehensive plan for a campaign of direct action I am calling 'Break the Chains.' Our voices will not fall on deaf on ears much longer for we as a people will make them listen. To support and d...

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Sunday, September 28, 2008. Watching Bill O'Reilly talk is, to me, an educational experience. Before the second part of his interview with Senator Obama he called the AP and NBC left wing and dishonest and biased. He also refused to acknowledge that he had been shouting at the senator. He did this all with a self righteous air to him that one would imagine the pope must have. We went into Iraq to liberate the people and get rid of Saadam".

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Monday, November 10, 2008. Today marks one of the biggest shams in modern day America. It's the day that the population pretends to give a damn about the veterans who have given everything. Stores throw sales. You can buy a cheap car. Spend, spend, spend, spend, spend. Support the VA, IVAW, and the military project today instead of buying a new TV. Vets deserve more then the cheap parlor tricks of politicians and parades. Open Source / Linux.

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Sunday, March 01, 2009. I walk for miles, my boots are wearing thin. I dont know where im going, but i wont go back to where ive been. Out in the desert, under the blazing sun. I though id found salvation, in the barrel of a gun. You swore to me, the my body you did need. For god and king and country, so that others might be free. What you meant was, to fill your coffers full. And the tax we paid, was out everlasting souls. I said im not,.

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Thursday, July 31, 2008. I Am An American Soldier. I was almost everything they could want in a soldier. I had pride and honor. I was loyal. I would work hard to prove my worth. I was disenfranchised with my home town, with my life. A high school drop out I needed a place to belong. There was just one thing that kept me from being what they truly wanted. And somebody crossed the line. I threw everything I had at him. I read the manual ...He sw...

Activism from both sides. On the computer and in the streets. Thursday, November 06, 2008. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Wake up. Light Cigarette. Drink Whiskey Sour. Repeat. What do you do when your daily schedule has become an exercise in some sort of study of the typical American Veteran. No job. Disability pay. Alcohol. Cigarettes. Anger. Hatred. Repeat. When everything becomes nothing more then a minor blip barely noticed through the haze of intoxication. Drink Smoke. Repeat. Posted by Another Angry Veteran.
