About Us - Open the SF Watershed

Open the SF Watershed. What is in the SF Watershed? Contact us - Get involved. Open the SF Watershed, is a small political movement in San Francisco and on the San Francisco Peninsula. It is our goal to highlight the local injustice of the SF Watershed being closed to the public. We wish to organize and inform the public about the SF Watershed, what is in this public land, its deep rich history and who its true owners are. Photo Credit to Cole Anastassaiou. From the Southern end of Sweeny Ridge in San Bruno, to the eastern end of McNee Ranch in Pacifica, is an open space area that stretches all the way to highway 92 and then south past Filoli. This 23,000 acres property is not wilderness, it has in it an entire network of well-maintained service roads, some of which have a history of use all the way back to the 1860’s. Open the SF Watershed. What is in the SF Watershed? Contact us - Get involved. WE REMEMBER MIKE NEVIN. We Remember Mike Nevin. Mike Nevin was a San Mateo County Supervisor who spearheaded the effort to open the SF Watershed between 1998 and 2003. Clearly Supervisor Mike saw a lager vision for the SF Watershed, one of much greater public access than a by reservation, docent led hike on only one of the many hikes available network of trails. Mike did not think that responsible access in the watershed was a...

Coffeeneuring log #5 October 24, 2015. I added today’s coffeeneuring stop into my commute, as I had to work. The silver lining to working weekends is that traffic is less terrifying, and I can cut over to the bay trail at the Whipple freeway entrance, whereas on weekdays it’s easier to take streets up to the Ralston Bike Bridge and avoid dealing with traffic entering and exiting 101. Also, there is bird watching on this route. What’s that you say? You thought California was in a catastrophic drought?

THE ART OF CREATIVE DRESSING. Thank you for visiting Open The Wardrobe; born of the desire to help normal, ordinary, every-day women look and feel as good as they want and deserve to. After all, what is wrong with being 30 plus and a size 16? Ldquo; You so brilliantly made the coat that I was stabbing in the dark with (in the vain hope that it “may do” for my outing to Sandown) look stylish and work when you pinned it and threw a scarf on me. my day’s task was finished in record time! I want some more!

Open the SF Watershed. Open the SF Watershed. This is public land, it should be opened for responsible public access. Open the SF Watershed. OpenTheWatershed.org strongly supports the public access improvements now planned by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission but would like to see a more far-reaching plan pursued. Minimal Impact – Most of the planned improvements do not require new trails or any construction but will simply open existing service roads to the public. Where trail cons...Water S...
