http://poisonivywalloftext.blogspot.com/2015/06/midsummers-night-dream-exciting-debuts.html
Poison Ivy's Wall of Text. Art, life, and other scribblings. Sunday, June 7, 2015. Midsummer's Night Dream - Exciting Debuts. A Midsummer's Night Dream. Has become the traditional way to close the NYCB's spring season. Because the ballet requires so many moving parts (a huge cast of soloists, the entire corps de ballet, plus a large contingent of SAB students) sometimes casting for this ballet can be a bit stale. Random musings and impressions from live performances and the wider cultural arena. George's musings…. ENO 2013/2014 Season launch by an eye witness. The vehement anti-ENO brigade seems to be too unwilling to acknowledge that they have artist development schemes for conducting, instrumental playing, libretto writing, singing and a newly announced young house composers scheme. They seem serious about opening the doors to more creatives into the world of opera and that can surely be a positive developm...

Opera Rat: The Blog. Laquo; SOUND AND FURY, SIGNIFYING NOTHING. WELCOME BBC RADIO 3 LISTENERS ». THE OPERA IS TOO DAMN LONG. Took in Carmen last Friday night at the Lyric, and while departing the house heard repeated variations on the well-worn theme, I liked it, but it was a little long. Random musings and impressions from live performances and the wider cultural arena. George's musings…. Have a listen ENO. I do hate to add to the mass of frenzied and at times uncalled for attacks on ENO. But as a follow-up from their new season launch in April I decided to upload my recording of the press conference. Especially in light of John Berry’s , the artistic director’s, announcement four days ago that he is stepping down. Share it with the world:. Tags: English National Opera. Milton Court a mo...
