Friday, August 17, 2012. Moving forward.and now we wait.some more. We've made some major decisions over the past couple of weeks. We decided to move forward with surrogacy in India using an Indian egg donor. The down side is, we have to wait until April to transfer. So again we wait and I am trying to keep myself occupied so I don't obsess over this. August 17, 2012 at 9:49 PM. August 18, 2012 at 2:36 AM. August 18, 2012 at 4:59 AM. August 18, 2012 at 12:07 PM. Wednesday, June 6, 2012. A Special Day for a Special Guy. Today he is taking his first steps into adulthood, but in my head he is always going to be the blond haired cutie I knew a decade ago. I hope that as K begins his life, he makes good choices and finds happiness in whatever he does. I have not forgotten you K, and you will always have a place in my heart. June 8, 2012 at 3:21 AM. Your so gorgeous Maggie, Im sure he felt the same about you. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

A Distant Miracle: October 2010
http://adistantmiracle.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Traveling 7,500 Miles to Grow Our Family. Monday, October 18, 2010. It wouldn't be surrogacy in India without something nontraditional to worry about. Sometimes Shannon and I receive questions about our experience and its implications that, well, let's just say folks haven't thought it through. "Ok. Shannon's egg, your sperm, an Indian carrier. Got it. So your baby could look Indian, huh? No) "Do you need to take DNA tests to prove maternity and paternity? Our little one is doing quite well. By our c...

Without further ado - Shannon and Geoff's Hiranandani Hospital Survival Guide. (Apologies to those for whom this does not apply! Aside from clothes and everything baby. Snacks - lots of them! Traveling 7,500 Miles to Grow Our Family. Thursday, October 27, 2011. Understandably, you may be asking - "Why haven't they been blogging? Before sharing some closing thoughts and photos, I'd love to list just a few of Archer's latest and greatest achievements. Archer is now eight months old! Sleeps well, wakes up smiling, is very alert and aware of his surroundings and has REALLY found his voice. (Our next door neighbors are quite impressed! Xoxo PS, Keep an eye open for Geoff's final post(s). Spawn of ...

A Distant Miracle: January 2011
http://adistantmiracle.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Traveling 7,500 Miles to Grow Our Family. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. A 2am phone call this past Tuesday shot Shannon to the ceiling. Unclawing herself, she dropped to our bed, grabbed the phone and shoveled it in my direction. Spying an Indian number on the Caller ID, I put the call on speakerphone and wished Dr. Sudhir a good afternoon (his time), trying to conjure positive reasons for such a late night call. Could we ask R to share her information? Sunday, January 9, 2011. We love all of you for your s...

A Distant Miracle: The handler handles
http://adistantmiracle.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-handler-handles.html
Traveling 7,500 Miles to Grow Our Family. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. We had no hotel receipt and no summary hospital receipt. Indian bureaucracy was salivating at the thought of how much longer we could be kept in India. I'm not a panicker but this was too good a moment to pass up a respectable emotional breakdown. Problem solved, I sat back down at the desk, eyes lowered in submission, and collected Archer's officially stamped exit visa. Holy crap. It was 4pm on Thursday, March 10. We had been in c...We ar...

A Distant Miracle: September 2010
http://adistantmiracle.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Traveling 7,500 Miles to Grow Our Family. Thursday, September 30, 2010. So How Does It Feel To Be Pregnant? Geoff and I are now at a point where we're sharing our news with those who haven't been aware of our journey. This puts me into the awkward position of answering the very frequent, "You're pregnant? Oh great - how are you feeling? On a much happier note, recent tests show that everything continues to progress well with our pregnancy. Phew! Tuesday, September 7, 2010. It's real enough that Geoff and...
