About
http://resinsight.org/project/about
The development of ResInsight was initiated by Statoil Petroleum AS in 2011 following a series of projects. ResInsight is still under active development, c.f. Roadmap. Ceetron Solutions AS is responsible for the software development work. ResInsight is part of the Open Porous Media. The software is licensed under GPL 3 , see Licensing details. The software is hosted at GitHub. Web site programming and design. The programming and design of this site is based on work by Tom Preston-Werner.

Products we use / support. The "Distributed and Unified Numerics Environment". Short: DUNE, just like the movie) is a modular software toolbox for the parallel solution of partial differential equations (PDE). It is the core the core tool that we use for our services. With its modularity it allows us or our customers to create efficient custom simulation code without wasting time or money. Learn more. With its modularity DUNE is predestined as a toolbox for building your bespoke parallel simulation softw...

About Dr. Blatt. I am an applied mathematician specialized in scientific computing on supercomputers and the design and implementation of efficient software for technical simulations. I have been developing numerical software since 2003. At that time I developed a parallel multigrid algorithm for the fast solution of linear systems that scaled well up to 512 processors. Since 2004 I am one of the core developers of the simulation toolbox DUNE. Dr Markus Blatt HPC-Simulation-Software & Services.

DuMuX: DUNE for Multi-{Phase, Component, Scale, Physics, ...} flow and transport in porous media
http://www.dumux.org/index.php
Simulation of a five-spot injection scenario with a strongly heterogeneous domain (SPE10 benchmark) using an IMPES formulation on an adaptively refined grid. DUNE for Multi-{Phase, Component, Scale, Physics, .} flow and transport in porous media, is a free and open-source simulator for flow and transport processes in porous media. It is based on the Distributed and Unified Numerics Environment DUNE. Started in January 2007 at the University of Stuttgart. Thank you for joining the First DuMu.

Phase 1 (funding sought for 2013-2016). The key deliverable for Phase 1 will be a demonstration of the basic RRM workflow and prototype software environment. Surfaces imported from existing Petrel models; this will build on on-going work at ICL in which structured (Petrel-type) surfaces are converted to unstructured meshes whilst preserving surface intersections and other sharp features. Global database and Wiki where geological scenarios can be collected, stored, and accessed for analysis and modificati...
