Living the Postgrad Life Gracefully. I'm 24 and a college grad. I have my BA in Creative Writing, with a minor in Vocal Performance. I want to write and correct grammar for the rest of my life; this is my first step in doing so. INFJ. Hufflepuff. Nerd. Quick update: I got the job! January 13, 2016. Stuck and trying to be grateful. I’ve felt stuck ever since I graduated college. I’m a professional moper. For some good news, I have a job interview coming up for a full time office position at the university.

Seasonal Change | Optimistically Misanthropic

https://optimisticallymisanthropic.wordpress.com/2015/07/17/seasonal-change

Living the Postgrad Life Gracefully. My Story poem. Not recent events). Late nights, bleary eyes. Class always came too early. Good morning texts. No time to study for tests. Wrapped up In the new,. In blankets, in each other. Four am, a short drive home. Blistering days, hidden in the shade of a steamy forest. Surprise visits. Short time. Never enough. Working in warmth able to contend with the heat between. Sunglasses. Ice cream. Phone calls. Long drives down a never ending interstate. July 17, 2015.

Color By Words Challenge: Exhibit A | Optimistically Misanthropic

Living the Postgrad Life Gracefully. Color By Words Challenge: Exhibit A. My words were “melted pancake” and I just plopped down and went with my first thought. So, I don’t even know what to think of this piece except that it made me simultaneously starving and pleased I can make pancakes (though I used to have terrible trouble. Turns out oil in the skillet is necessary. I’d forgotten that the moment I moved out of my parent’s house, evidently.). You didn’t even know what brunch was until last week.

Living the Postgrad Life Gracefully. I stare at the pink hues of the sunset and all I can see are endings. I know now it’s always been twilight for you and me. Faces I pass in this dark are dim;. Yet I always see you so clearly among them. Through my fractured vision. You burn beneath my eyes and fingertips;. I hopelessly imagine it is your touch. It pains and thrills and always, always lingers deep into the night. Until I wake, pushed forward into icy mornings. And I see you. And I am left,. On A little...

August 7, 2015. August 7, 2015. IF YOU FOUND ME ON THE STREET and asked, “What have you done with your life? 8221; my answer might be:. 8220;Well, that depends on who you ask.”. Some people say I’m a murderer. Others call me a nasty nuisance. Then there are those who can’t go a day without me, and to them, I’m the only thing standing in the way of a complete mental breakdown. I’ll never get a proper burial. Don’t get the wrong idea, here. I’m no homewrecker. Doris cashed in her chips. She knew all the wa...

Author: J.T. Carlton. July 16, 2016. The first time I did drugs,. I was sitting in a car with my friend Ox. In this dusty spectral parking lot. Yawning at three in the morning,. Waiting on the hookup to show,. Flinching at every blue hint and brake light,. Drooling at the waft of fresh-baked biscuits. Creeping down the street from golden arches,. Knowing, with certainty, that the hookup. Was marked, or that he was a rat,. And at the very least we would. Spend the next fifteen up state,. Ox introduced the...

Color By Words The Ol’ Switcheroo. July 31, 2015. July 31, 2015. Greetings, Master Inkslingers. Is that enough poop jokes for one paragraph? Feels good to be back. As I’m sure you’re well aware, I’ve been traveling all across Kentucky these past couple of weeks, and there for a week while I was in Lexington I burned the candle at both ends and coughed up a novella that I like to call. HOW THE MOON WAS HUMBLED. BUT FIRST, THERE WERE CHALLENGES. Just the one challenge, actually. This week, Emily Dunbar.

Sounds awful, right? Surprisingly it’s not! I started this adventure on March 8, 2015 and this first week has not been as bad as I thought it might be. I haven’t even cheated! 8220;Go out into the world and do good until there is too much good in the world.”. Wednesday, April 17, 2013. There are three things I think this world could do without. Hate, Ignorance and Irrational Fear. It's plain to see that weapons are not responsibple for the violence and murder that goes on in the world around us. Yes, they are a tool, but they are not the sole cause. They need to be operated by someone and that someone has to be provided a motive to make the decision to kill. Now it seems like ...
