Die Güte des statischen Sehens wird hauptsächlich durch die Sehschärfe bestimmt. Aber man muss auch schnell genug sehen können weil durch die dauernden Blicksprünge 3-5 Bilder pro Sekunde ins Gehirn gesendet werden. Die Wahrnehmung schneller Prozesse (wie zum Beispiel auch die Bewegungswahrnehmung) wird von einem besonderen Zell-System im Gehirn geleistet und heißt Dynamisches Sehen.
