decision | daggerfield

November 18, 2012. No matter what you do, every decision and subsequent outcome is simply the sum of every prior decision and subsequent outcome you or anyone else has ever made. Hence every decision you make is the “right” one and everything that happens is what was supposed to happen. So live your life and never look back because it’s all working out the way it was “meant” to be. Facing our bad decisions is never something easy but I feel that it is necessary in order to grow and progress as a better i...

September 23, 2012. I am, alone yet never absent. Scared before the challenge. Yet diligent with the presence. The past has no right to my future. As it was never real. Because freedom within a bubble. Is but given life, by reigning breath. I am, lost yet present. Consumed by the ether. Yet reluctant to flee. When comprehension ceases to run. A settlement will be met with timely detriment. For this environment in cultivation. Produces nothing but our alleviation. The perils of industry.

August 8, 2012. Why is it that when a white person carries out a tragic act the narrative is about how he has a history of mental problems and is under certain pressures of job loss or divorce, while when the person isn’t white the narrative is about how their culture and religion taught them to hate America? Basically we are reducing people to very simple images; the white person gets to be an individual with emotions and the non-white person becomes a manufactured product of their surroundings. Can pre...

We human beings have this tendency to always | preposterous

Sixteen. stuck in the moment, dead at the scene. We human beings have this tendency to always want to please other people or is it just me? We don’t want other people to see our vulnerable side. We hate it when people hate us. I don’t know why I’m saying this. I guess I’m just emotionally unstable because of a sensation called PMS. It all started when someone unfollowed me on Twitter. (Unfollowed me cause I’m not cool like you? I mean passing my dream school is already a big gift. May 15, 2013 at 10:52 am.

September 11, 2012. Now imagine a window through which you could see yourself, however, unlike a mirror, this would not be a reflection of how you perceive you, but a projection of how others you. Do you think the two different images would be identical? Most certainly not, as our friends tend to have the same problems with their own mirror and thus have come to accept you on a level more than the superficial. If there is no mirror, what then? narrowing choice | daggerfield
https://daggerfield.wordpress.com/2012/12/28/narrowing-choice
December 28, 2012. We think we understand the rules when we become adults but what we really experience is a narrowing of the imagination. It’s true, at least I think it is. My imagination has become stagnant since I entered adulthood. I no longer seem to dream in colors but shades of grey. Why does this happen? I don’t know, I don’t have any answers. At what point do the rules we have created to help us find our own way circumvent there original intention and instead start to create us? October 11, 2014.

Walk to the edge. September 5, 2012. If you find yourself walking and come upon a ledge, do you continue and walk off or do you turn around and walk the other direction? The answer is uniquely yours to ponder, however the act of an about-face shouldn’t be seen as failure. It should be seen as part of the process toward greater ideas and opportunities. The edge may come more than once on a journey and impede progress and perhaps it needs to for an individual to find something better. Follow “daggerf...

question community | daggerfield

January 16, 2013. What is a community? Any standard dictionary will define it as a group of people living together in a particular place, practicing a common ownership over the shared area. Generally there is no mention of moral standards when asked to uncover the meaning of a community, but why? Has come to mean nothing more than a collection of people sharing a space. Wendell Berry. Spoke about community in his book Long-Legged House. Recent events would have one believe that the love and support shown...
