These Ordinary Days: November 2005

http://www.ordinarydys.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 11, 2005. He can steal my fajita seasoning, but he can't steal my joy! My children have had some disappointments lately which are so difficult for me because I feel their hurt so deeply. When one of your children is hurt by someone or something or just life, I think it hurts me as a Mom almost more than if someone did something directly to me. Was she a "blessing" to someone one week and then a week later, not a "blessing"? And so are K and J and J! Why does one person have to struggle w...

These Ordinary Days: May 2005

http://www.ordinarydys.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Same stuff, different day. When I was trying to figure out what to call this post, I realized there is nothing really new to write, just a different day. I am overtired right now and when I feel that way, I tend to have the wrong perspective of things, so I will try not to make this a ranting entry. Hopefully, after the trim is white and the kitchen green and the heinous wallpaper removed, it will all be good again. (And then I have about five more projects! Sorry about the ranting.

These Ordinary Days: Do not follow in my footsteps....

http://www.ordinarydys.blogspot.com/2008/03/careful-not-to-follow-in-my-footsteps.html

Monday, March 17, 2008. Do not follow in my footsteps. I came back to edit this today as I didn't have time to finish the other day. I can't say honestly that there aren't things I that I have missed doing that I wanted to do. But looking back on it now at my age, it somehow doesn't seem all that disappointing. I know God had a plan in my life and before I even took following Him seriously, He was already laying a path out for me. Pastor quoted John Piper in his message this week:. Links to this post:.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Overheard at the dinner table. Daddy was asking A if she was going to be an engineer when she grew up. When she agreed, he asked, "Do you know what an engineer is? E replied, "Somebody who blows a whistle? We agreed that train engineers blew whistles. Daddy asked, "What kind of engineer am I? Emily answered, seeming very sure of herself. Not sure where that came from. Friday, November 14, 2008. Today is November 14th. And this is what I found in my backyard today!

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Some of you may know that my daughter A, is rather compulsive. For example, in our family, we like our tissue boxes to look like this:. A prefers them like the following picture, since as she puts it " It bothers me." to have the tissue sticking out of the box. While we were on vacation, we had an opportunity to go to a petting zoo which included large turtles like this:. There is never a dull moment in our lives! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, October 19, 2008. On Saturday, our family walked around the town Diamond and checked out the scarecrows that were built by local. Businesses or individuals to take part in a contest. Some of the entries are highly amusing, other are clever, and others just plain silly. This scarecrow turned into the tin man! http://laurelmtn.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 19, 2015. Just came upon this old blog which hasn't been updated in seven years - wow! Lots of the posts make me laugh because even though A and E are nearly seventeen, a lot of the posts about them are still true. A is not as OCD as she used to be - as a matter of fact, she's rather messy these days! She also still has trouble with many long words - "amusical" park is one of them. E continues to ask questions about EVERYTHING! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Year old twin girls.
