THE LIFE AND ART OF LAURA CORNETT. Laura Cornett began her book 'Ordinary Holiness' in April 2010, with her dear friend Anne acting as her scribe as her energy waned. The first edition was published in July 2010. Laura’s last earthly smile was seen when she was shown the front and back covers of the final version of her book. Spanish and French translations of Laura’s book are also planned.

On Laura’s sixty-first birthday on December 30, 2009 she and her two daughters went to a local coffee shop for a late birthday brunch Their conversation turned to their dream of one day holding an exhibition of Laura’s painted works and her youngest daughter Sara’s photography. THE LIFE AND ART OF LAURA CORNETT. It is unclear as to when exactly Laura Cornett began her musical composition, ‘You Are My Bride’. Believed to have been started in the eighties when Laura was a young mother, it was then set aside as the busyness of her family’s life took over and the song remained incomplete. Laura’s children were able to play her song for her the day before her passing. How can you say we are free to roam? We will come no more to Thee. Why do you contend with me? You are my Bride.
