Our Garden: Ouch!
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2013/05/ouch.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. So I lost track of blogging once again, but with good reason, and I am back at it now. My neck is recovering a lot faster than we thought and I'm able to pick up Rue. Elsie is a bit tricky, due her size and tendency to thrash around wildly. We snuggle on the sofa now. Before all this neck stuff I had some posts to put up. My favorite being our trip to the Sculpture park. Standing in my favorite sculpture from when I was little, someone put a heart in the middle. A long walk to green.

Our Garden: October 2011
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 28, 2011. This is my tallow rendering set up in the backyard. While Texas is sweating it out with the cardinals on TV I figured I could get a few things done. So I'm rendering Tallow and hulling the black walnuts our incredibly awesome mailman/neighbor brought over. He is the coolest mailman I have ever met, and I look forward to when he gets his first baby chicks for his yard. My Walnut hulling set up. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. May 6, 2010. Preschool Read Alouds aka Picture Books. Here is my list of books to read to my two youngest (currently 6 and 3). The two older boys have heard many of these before, but that doesn't stop them from listening to them again! They still come sit by me when I'm reading Goodnight Moon out loud! Some are new to us so we'll see how it goes. I probably will only go through this once, but read each book several times. Reviews will be posted at Goodreads. The books in bold. Are You My Mother? Gentle Art of Chaos: Fruit Cereal
http://gentleartofchaos.blogspot.com/2010/11/fruit-cereal.html
November 23, 2010. One of the "raw" recipes we experimented with a few months ago was a huge hit. We've had it at least once a month for the last little while. Here's what we do. I know what you're saying, "Hey, that sounds like fruit salad." Well, it is, sort of. But it's different for each person and my kids hate. Fruit salad. They love. Fruit cereal. (It's all in the sales pitch! All of them like it with a drizzle of raw honey. A part of me cringes at that, but a bowl of fresh fruit with a small.

Morning Coffee: Beauty is the Wrong Paradigm (a poem for girls)
http://morningcoffee.blogspot.com/2015/07/beauty-is-wrong-paradigm-poem-for-girls.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Beauty is the Wrong Paradigm (a poem for girls). I would rather be courageous than beautiful. I would rather be strong. I would rather stand with my face to the wind. And her mind.and her soul.". I would rather be loving than beautiful. Love lasts forever,. Girls, oh girls! This is ...
