About Me ▾. Holiday and Seasonal ▾. Upcycling and Repurposing ▾. Update on the Framed Pots. One of my first outdoor posts this season was a framed lobelia plant. I had just found this square frame for $11. This is early May. I planted the bedding plant in a small galvanized pail hanging from a wire. A hole was drilled through the top of the frame for the wire which connects to the pail and to a hook hanging in one of our birch trees. Finally, the grass is green and leaves are on the trees! Oh I love it!

About Me ▾. Holiday and Seasonal ▾. Upcycling and Repurposing ▾. Thrift Shop Wooden Notepad Holder Repurpose. I purchased this wooden notepad holder at the thrift shop a couple weeks ago for $2. The framed top portion looks like advertising for Casablanca Bar and Grill. The wooden piece across the middle holds the notepad in place with bolts and two wingnuts. This is what the notepad holder looked like from the back. There was a piece of plexi-glass in the top. I love the way my photo holder turned out.

About Me ▾. Holiday and Seasonal ▾. Upcycling and Repurposing ▾. A New Look On My Covered Patio. Here is my covered patio from 2013. The Adirondack chairs had an exterior stain, burlap covered cushions and sat atop a floral rug. Because of my terracotta exterior accent color my rug had some orange flowers. But changes were on the way. My Adirondacks were painted with Fusion Mineral Paint. I purchased some inexpensive ($19 each) cushions from Menard's. They are the Madison Pattern by Backyard Creations.
