An Inculcator's Ramblings: Remodel
http://inculcator.blogspot.com/2009/06/remodel.html
Yea, I know. It's been a while. So we're paying a friend to remodel parts of our master bathroom and teach/model for me along the way. I've learned a lot watching and helping. I've never been very handy, but I'd like to change that. We're already looking forward to other projects I can do myself (yea right) based on the knowledge and experienced gained from fixing up this bathroom. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An Inculcator's Ramblings: In Trouble
http://inculcator.blogspot.com/2008/08/in-trouble.html
We know biting was happening both ways, but unfortunately Joel bites harder. I guess no one knows exactly who begins each of these little biting sessions, but apparently it seems that Carter and Joel just don't get along very well. Heh, I hope that they know each other later in life and can look back on this and laugh. I know that Joel hasn't been biting anyone else lately in daycare or. An Inculcator's Ramblings: Role Model

Salsa bowl, he mimics words we use, he now tries to walk down the stairs like we do. He may have had some idea that Lucy was being reprimanded (with the same word we use to redirect Joel), but his act seemed more like blind imitation, something he saw dad do and that he wanted to try too. Imitate, even as adults, is so subtly impressed upon us by our friends/media/etc that we remain blind to what we are becoming? Conscious choice to be more Christlike or kind or diligent or selfless.

Jana's Thoughts: Why do we feel like we have to do everything right?
http://janagibson.blogspot.com/2010/03/why-do-we-feel-like-we-have-to-do.html
My thoughts on spiritual matters, etc. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Why do we feel like we have to do everything right? Why do we feel like we have to do everything right? Tell them how awesome they are. And, know that everything is going to be just fine. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6. An Inculcator's Ramblings: To Leap
http://inculcator.blogspot.com/2008/02/to-leap.html
Today I asked Joel to leap into my arms after he climbed up on the coffee table. He loved it. The game mostly involved him stepping or falling off the table. He laughed and laughed, and I hardly put him down before he was scrambling to climb on the table again. Dad had to push the limit a bit, so I put a row of couch cushions in front of the table. I held out my hand, and Joel performed his first belly flop onto a sea of green microweave. It's cool to see how he trusts me. Did you even let Lucy try?

An Inculcator's Ramblings: This made me giggle
http://inculcator.blogspot.com/2008/02/this-made-me-giggle.html
This made me giggle. It is an extra credit midterm exam question for some chemistry class. I hope it's legit, cause it's pretty freakin' funny. It reminds me of questions asked by the professor of a class I half-audited in college, History and Systems of Psychology. I've been taught to ask questions of my students that start out predictable and easy and move to un. Predictable and rigorous. I need to throw a couple of these on one of my exams and see what happens. His name was Dr. Arvin Oake, right?
