The wind and the wellies. A good life by the sea, in mixed Scottish weather. Friday, 10 December 2010. Daisy to the rescue. I love ox-eye daisies, although not their 'grown up' name as my daughter woud say for the latin, ( Leucanthemum vulgare or. We often have daisies on the table - I love them and it would appear, I'm not alone - good article link there:. 65279; http:/ www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/5623401/How-to-grow-an-ox-eye-daisy-meadow.html. The wind and the wellies. A good life by the sea, in mixed Scottish weather. Friday, 28 December 2012. Joy and of course plentiful compost. Firstly I wish you joy these holidays wherever you are whomever you're with. We're off adventuring again in far off sunny (sometimes, although yesterday the weather of the north east of Scotland did pop in and say hello.) climes, with snowy trees and mountains. It's a special time to enjoy family and see joy in life isn't it? And so the adventure began for this season.
The wind and the wellies: It doesn't get old.
http://orkneyflowers.blogspot.com/2015/06/it-doesnt-get-old.html
The wind and the wellies. A good life by the sea, in mixed Scottish weather. Wednesday, 3 June 2015. It doesn't get old. The chickens love them. So I grow them with love for them, honest. I'm in my garden every single day, come rain, shine or hail (which really was last weeks weather! For me, its simple. It just never gets old. There's always something to do, especially as I have 24 unfinished jobs on the go at once, that's OK, I'm learning that's how I role. We watched ' The theory of everything. Plant ...
The wind and the wellies: So I stood on a table and here I am
http://orkneyflowers.blogspot.com/2015/05/so-i-stood-on-table-and-here-i-am.html
The wind and the wellies. A good life by the sea, in mixed Scottish weather. Wednesday, 13 May 2015. So I stood on a table and here I am. They, understandably were not impressed. So they gnawed the table and made a lot of sawdust mess. But, I never came down. I had vision. They, however continued to be very unimpressed as these non-gardening dogs tend to be. So we dug it all up. Or covered it in black matting we found in the shed. Another happy circumstance where we find the very stuff we need...Apart...

MarySue's Front Porch: December 2012
http://simplymarysue.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sustainability is the key to all facets of life.whether it be farming and gardening, camping and kayaking, or simply living on this planet from day to day. Campers, hikers, and lovers of the outdoors have been doing it for years. We call it 'leave no trace'. Slow down for a moment and sit a spell in the rocker on the front porch as I do my best to return my own life to those simpler times. Enjoy your visit, come back as often as you like, and feel free to bring a friend every now and again. You stayed wi...

Pink Fairy Girls Flight of Fancy - Random thoughts of a Mummy: February 2014
http://pinkfairygirlsflightoffancy.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 21 February 2014. Saving for your Sanity! It's been Half Term here this week and Aidan has been off school, that means only one thing amusement or mischief. Aidan definitely needs to be kept occupied or mayhem and much shouting from me ensues, the trouble is this half term fell a week before both of our paydays, yikes! Luckily for us we had a few tricks up our sleeve to enable us some great Family days out at no cost. Enjoying seeing the Zebra's from the comfort of the car! That's approximately 2...

Wednesday, 20 July 2011. Today I have been mostly swanning around looking like a bit of a pillock. And being glad that this is (hopefully! The third and last time. Wednesday, 27 July 2011. A week in photos. Much as I'd love to spend a while waffling on about what I've been doing this week, I just don't have the energy right now! And trains. Lots. Speaking of which, I've got to be on another one in 7 hours, best go to sleep. Snippets of a life. Wednesday, 20 July 2011. Today I have been mostly swanning around looking like a bit of a pillock. Daffy's Garden: sunday evening
http://daffysgarden.blogspot.com/2011/08/sunday-evening.html
Sunday, 7 August 2011. Let's just say I sat on a stool on a paving stone in the general vicinity of what will become my lovely new seating area, and leave it at that, shall we? No point aiming for perfection I say! Snippets of a life. This life is real life. 8 August 2011 at 05:03. I disagree. Always aim for perfection as long as you accept that it is unlikely to be attained. At least you can get within spitting distance and then still have something to aim for. 8 August 2011 at 12:49. Snippets of a life.

Daffy's Garden: orkney in august - the home life
http://daffysgarden.blogspot.com/2011/09/orkney-in-august-home-life.html
Thursday, 1 September 2011. Orkney in august - the home life. Please just indulge me while I stick up a few photos of our lovely holidays. This is the 'at home and eating' set mostly. That up there at the top is my attempt to sunbathe on our first day - *under* a blanket as well as on top of one. I do so much love being outside! Wasn't a big fan of the midges though). Then we have the lovely Peedie, cheerful dog extraordinaire, who we're missing very much. But plenty colourful, I'm sure you'll agree....
Daffy's Garden: back home
http://daffysgarden.blogspot.com/2011/09/back-home.html
Thursday, 1 September 2011. Goodness me, that was a lovely long break! We've spent the last couple of weeks staying with the lovely. And had such a marvellous time that I never wanted it to end. Do you think she would have noticed if we'd have sneakily moved into her house, hiding amongst the chickens and the flowers? We could have been very quiet. And there was me expecting the garden to wither and die every time I turn my back - seems it does rather better when I'm not here interfering. Greetings from ...
