When You Motor Away. This is not music criticism. On this blog, you will only read about music we like. Friday, July 10, 2015. EZTV - Calling Out. Brooklyn's trio known as EZTV. Has crafted a wonderful debut offering in Calling Out. New music comes so quickly that I most often have to put an album aside after I write about it in order to cover the next worthy. But that isn't happening in this case - Calling Out. Is going on the regular playlist for a long, long time. Links to this post. Links to this post.

Live Review: Visions Festival – 8th August 2015, Hackney – Joyzine

Doing it for the love since 2003. Live Review: Visions Festival – 8th August 2015, Hackney. This year saw a vibrant and thriving event, where the line-up pulsated with quality acts from all genres. So lively indie pop courtesy of Oscar. Gave way to the quirky downbeat sparseness from Pixx. S dizzy grunge. The sloppy reggae rock of Spanish band Hinds. Was refreshing, their failed piñata attempts only adding authenticity to the party vibes, whilst elsewhere Toy. You’d think that the combination of music, L...

Wichita Recordings – Oscar

Immersed in music right from the start of his life, both at home (his parents fronted the pop band, The Regents; his father went on to produce early Acid House records) as well as in the musical hotpot that was his native North West London,. Is a heady melange of the many musical styles Oscar Scheller absorbed growing up. Where Oscar is joined by Marika Hackman. Choosing the strongest songs from the demos that originally attracted Wichita to his music, Scheller set about re-recording the vast majority of...

Dos Floris, Corner House, Cambridge, 17 July 2016. On a steamy summer evening the place to be was the Cambridge Corner House pub and venue, for a rare UK appearance of singer and multi-instrumentalist Dos Floris. Opening the show was a special set from Bouquet Of Dead Crows. The sound is complex and multi-layered, necessitating some backing percussion and electronics being co-ordinated by laptop, but there was plenty of interesting keyboard lines and experimental effects played live as the tracks develop...
