If you can slip Oscar a piece of cheese while youre working on the burrs (yknow with those extra hands you arent using), you might find him being calmer for all kinds of grooming and handling. Saturday, July 30, 2011. Paw Licking: A Mystery. He's chewed the lining off the cone. Back to chewing.back to the cone. One suggested solution I read about is to reduce the dog's boredom and stress. We have been pretty busy over the last few weekends working on our deck. Remember the post. Where I said we wanted to get the deck sanded and hopefully stained that weekend? That is so worrying! Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Dreaded Second Chewing Phase. I blogged a while back after I discovered that puppies actually go through a second chewing phase. I didn't look into it too much at the time, but after he tried to eat our house. I started thinking about it again and decided to see what I could find out about it, if only to try to get an idea of how much longer this will last. Much worse, literally overnight. It was crazy! Oscar enjoying his antler, which we have. Two Grad Students and a Pittie.
