Calves | Östergårds Mjölk

A dairy farm on Aland. Calves are feed 4 liters clostrum halv an hour after birth. After birth calves are separated from their mothers in individual boxes where they stay for three days. On the fourth day calves are mooved to hutchies outside which are used year around. In the hutchies calves are fed with milktaxi. They are fed with 2 - 3 liters of pasteurized milk 3 times a day. Male calves are sold to breeders at the age of 10 days. Good health - no diarrhoea or brocnhitis.

Tila sijaitsee kauniissa Sundin kunnassa keskellä Ahvenanmaan pääsaarta. 300 lypsylehmää 60 % Ayshire ja 40 %. 11249 kg maitoa, rasvaa 4,08 %, valkuaista 3,36 %, solut 173 000. A dairy farm on Aland. The farm Östergård has been in the family Blomqvist's prossession since 1908. Current owners Ole and Tarja Blomqvist are the 4th generation on the farm. Ole has been a farmer since 1986 and has a two-years agricultural education. The base has always been dairy production. When Ole took over the farm after his father in 1993 there were only 15 dairy cows on the farm. Tarja moved in to the farm 1999. 2008: Milking parlour 2x12 parallel. The total investmentcosts are about 2,2 miljon.
