En el campo de Santa Maria en Formosa, en el campanario de la antigua iglesia rena centista del 1400, fueron colgadas multiples máscaras de caras temerosas que alejaban el mal de ojo, al diablo y a la mala suerte. Sobre la puerta de la torre del campanario, emerge el Mascarón (grande máscara), que se convirtió en la insignia de la osteria (tipica taberna veneciana) que se encuentra en la calle Longa.

Am Campo di Santa Maria Formosa, am Campanile der alten Renaissancekirche aus dem. 15 Jahrhundert, sind vielfältige Masken mit furchteinflößenden Zügen angebracht. Sie sollen das böse Auge abwehren und vor Teufel und Unglück schützen. Über dem Tor dieses Glockenturms ragt noch heute der Mascaron aus dem Portal hervor eine furchterregende, verzerrte Fratze, die schließlich zum Markenzeichen der gleichnamigen Osteria in der Calle Longa wurde.

In Campo di Santa Maria in Formosa nel campanile della antica chiesa rinascimentale del 1400 furono collocate e scolpite molteplici maschere di fattezze paurose che allontanavano il malocchio, il diavolo e le sfortune. Sul portale della torre del campanile, emerge il Mascaron che diventò l’insegna dell’Osteria che si trova in Calle Longa.

Les Artistes au Mascaron. Sur la grande place de Santa Maria in Formosa, dans le clocher de la vieille église de la Renaissance, du XVe siècle, ont été sculptés et installés de nombreux masques destinés à faire peur et à éloigner le mauvais sort, le diable et le malheur. Et sur la porte du clocher, on peut admirer celui du Mascaron qui est devenu depuis l’enseigne de l'hostaria de la calle/rue Longa.
