Make sure the power supply is ok and outputs are good. See notes on the power supply page. First The original connectors were not very good, with the exception of the flat ribbon bus connectors. All boards must be connected when testing, even the sound board. There is feedback from the sound board when the CPU boots the game. There are boardsets with socketed CPU, DMA Controller and EPROMS, but also variants with chips soldered-in directly (yuck! The only advantage of the latter is that the sockets.

Radar Scope is just like this TV set turned sideways. What you see as a vertical line on the game actually stretches in the horizontal axis, and what you see as a horizontal line actually is a vertical one. The answer is a dedicated display hardware that relieves the CPU from its responsibilities for display control.

On the CPU board:. 5F, 5G, 5H, 5K These EPROMS are of type 2532 (4K x 8 bit), a total of 16K program ROM. On the Video board:. 3G, 3H Two video background EPROMS of type 2716 (2K x 8 bit). 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D Four object (foreground) EPROMS of type 2716 (2K x 8 bit). 3E EPROM of type 2716 for the creation of the grid and the stars. On the CPU board there are also 6 RAM's of type 2114 (1K x 4 Bit). They are addressed in pairs of 2 chips and this gives 1K x 8 Bit RAM, a total of 3K RAM for program purposes.
