먼저 저희 협회를 찾아 주심에 감사를 드립니다. 저희 (사)한국장루장애인협회는 다양한 이유들로 인해 장루 및 요루를 보유하게 된 분들의 어려움을 보다 전문적으로 돕기 위해 1985년도에 세계오스토미협회 선진회원국들의 사례를 참조하여 설립한 비영리 사단법인입니다. 제가 협회 창립 30주년에 즈음하여 이사장이라는 무거운 직을 맡게 되었습니다. 지금의 협회가 있기까지 그동안 선배님들의 수고로 이루어 낸 것을 승계하여, 장루 및 요루 보유자들의 복지와 권리 증진을 위해서 최선의 노력을 다 하겠습니다. 지금까지 하여 온 장루 초기 회원들을 위한 상담 및 방문교육과 월례회, 워크샵을 통한 상호 경험적 지식 교류와 동료 상담 업무를 지속적으로 유지하면서 향후 협회의 중점 사업으로 장루 보유자들의 노인 요양과 조직 활성화에 관심을 갖고 추진하려 합니다. 3 협회 운영은 회원 여러분들이 함께하는 것입니다. 적극 동참하여 주시고 성원해 주시기 바랍니다.

본 협회의 정회원 가입 자격은 단 한 가지로 어떠한 유형 어떠한 이유로든 인공항문 (장루)을 보유한 사람 이면 누구나 가입하실 수 있습니다. 가입 회원에 대한 특별한 특전은 없으나 수시로 있는 전문가들의 강의 와 함께 같은 어려움을 겪고있는 사람들끼리 서로의 경험적 사실을 공유함으로써 삶의 애로를 쉽게 극복할 수 있다는 것이 가장 큰 유익이 될 것이며, 매월 월간 회보를 받아보고 협회를 통한 사용 기구의 구입 시에 는 소정의 보조금을 지급 받는 것도 유익이 될 것입니다. 회원 회비는 가입비(20,000원)와 년회비(30,000원)가 있어 처음 가입 시에는 두 가지 회비를 합친 50,000원의 회비 납입으로 가입하게 되며, 이 후 년도부터는 매년 30,000원의 년회비를 납입하는 것으로 회원 자격이 유지되게 됩니다. 가입을 희망하시는 분들께서는 전화로 연락주시기를 바랍니다.
