BALA FALLS HYDRO PROJECT. I have been recording precipitation here in Southeastern Ontario. It's been bleak this summer. Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. John Ruskin, author, art critic, and social reformer (8 Feb 1819-1900). 7698 mm rain, 80.5 cm snow. 16cm snow; 5mm rain. Compare to Aug. 2012 - 1.77mm! Finding historical data is interesting. Except for the gruesome ads.

I spotted a tell-tale spot of green in the luscious pink phlox. Such a tiny, newly morphed tree frog! Hubby hauls out his suit for hatchin', matchin' and dispatchin's. BALA FALLS HYDRO PROJECT. Sunday, 9 August 2015. NDP Rally with John Fenik in Perth. That was so much fun! We've been to a couple of rallies. My favourite was meeting Elizabeth May's train in Parry Sound in 2008, when we lived in Muskoka. Her train was 3 hours late. This rally was pretty much on time. The rally in Peterborough was finished at 2:40, and they hopped on the bus (a two-hour, 20 minute drive sans traffic! The Global cameraman winked at me, after I took his photo! Supporters just kept arriving!
