Saturday, 26 July 2014. Form, Function and Craftmanship. If I'm to get back to blogging I think I need something to bang on about and of late it has been this! Form, Function and Craftsmanship. It's certainly is something I'm passionate about as I see more things about that maybe lack these three things. but I must express that this is just my humble opinion! While I was sorting through the photo's of my camera I found some that Ouch Boy had taken. Not bad for a 6 year old, so I thought I'd share them with you! I hope it's an interest later in life and not a passing fad? You see things through a lens, that you might have ignored another time or in passing? Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Woven Rope Jewellery Collection. Whilst waiting to see all my pottery pieces through the making and firing process, I started making these as well! Zuerst werden die einzelnen Flächen gestrickt und zusammengenäht. Für die Außenseite wird die Wolle 'Ibiza' und für die Innenseite 'Linarte'. Von Lana Grossa verwendet. The decoration forms a band around the vase and has a very ornate Victorian feel to it. It reminds be of the fabulous intricate work on some iron gates from that period. Marzi and Remy, 1049/15A. She worked for Broadhurst pottery from 1950 until her retirement in 1992 and was responsible for over 120 designs. I started the day so well, organized ready for anything.then it all went wild! I did find some great stuff which I will post later. Here are some pieces which made an appearance this morning with the finished mat. Starting at the top -The Clock. Junghans clockwork with Herbolzheimer ceramic surround. The vase is Strehla. A fantastic vase 21 cm in height.
