Adventures and experiments in food. Sunday, 2 May 2010. So yakitori is a form of japanese fast food. It's basically chicken on a stick. There's usually some soy and sugar etc thrown into the mix but yup, it's chicken on a stick. Voila. Good enough for me. Next up came the gizzard and heart (gizzard at the front, heart at the back). For a start) which to be honest, all gave mixed opinions. Some said it was work in progress, some said they didn't really like it at all, and some loved it.
