Thursday, October 22, 2009. At the Mississippi headwaters in Itasca State Park, Minnesota. John grew up going to Itasca every summer because his Uncle Ben worked as a naturalist there in the summer, and Ben and Aunt Lou and their sons spent the summers up there every year. This is the first time John got his wife and girls up to the place he loved going as a kid. Visitor center at Itasca State Park. Norah explores the visitor center. Looks like a fun family trip! Thursday, August 20, 2009. Our darling Norah Kathryn is SIX MONTHS OLD! She started SITTING UP unassisted last weekend, just in time for her 6 month portraits. She is so proud of herself, and is already plotting how to crawl. We all love this little look with closed-lips smile she gives off so often.
