Belated Father’s Day thoughts | Our adoption experience

https://ouradoptionexperience.wordpress.com/2015/06/24/belated-fathers-day-thoughts

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Laquo; When it rains, it pours. Silence in the blogosphere. Belated Father’s Day thoughts. We live in a complicated world. One of my co-workers has a child fathered by a man who has not exactly been supportive of his son. It is a long, and unfortunately, fairly typical of a male who cuts and runs when things get tough. Since then, there is another man that has come into her life, and is a true father and daddy to her son. You are co...

Nine years | Our adoption experience

https://ouradoptionexperience.wordpress.com/2015/04/28/nine-years

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Laquo; Acronyms and their impact on our lives. When it rains, it pours. April 27, 2006. It was a day that changed our lives forever. At the same point in time, our four year long quest to become parents had ended, and our journey as parents began at the same time, as our new baby was delivered. And the adventure continues. Exhausting days | Our adoption experience

https://ouradoptionexperience.wordpress.com/2015/08/03/exhaisting-days

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Laquo; Acronyms – more thoughts. Back to school time. There are some seasons of life that are exhausting. I have heard it said that the days are long and the years are short with young kids. Don’t be afraid to ask parents of young kids, especially if they have kids with special needs, if they need to talk, or have a break. You have no idea the encouragement it could make to someone who may be hanging by a thread. From your own site.

When it rains, it pours | Our adoption experience

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Laquo; Nine years. Belated Father’s Day thoughts. When it rains, it pours. May seems to have been a really busy month. We have finished up one study. We are waiting to find out about another. Appointments are happening in many places. And that is for the kids. Right now we are living the sandwich generation. Acronyms and their impact on our lives | Our adoption experience

https://ouradoptionexperience.wordpress.com/2015/04/12/acronyms-and-their-impact-on-our-lives

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Laquo; A random thought. Acronyms and their impact on our lives. This year has been a blur. Part of it is getting older. I’ve heard older people say that time goes as you get older. A few years ago, I didn’t really believe. And I didn’t really care, because I had lots of time left. I find winter to be a tiring season, as the days are short. February was miserably cold this year. Feed You can leave a response. From your own site.

Our Adoption Blog

Thursday, June 30, 2011. A summer of swimming, biking and soccer. If the start is any indication, I think Slavic is going to have an excellent first summer in America. School's not even out and we've already had swim meets, pool time, biking, vacationing with his grandparents and fishing with me and my dad. On the agenda is more time with grandparents, fishing and swimming, indoor soccer and a three week visit from a couple of his friends from Ukraine. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Looking back and forward.

Happy New Year! Coming Clean. - Our Adoption Diary

The journey of one couple, on a quest to start a family. January 2, 2015. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year! With the new year I am going to be better about updating the blog to keep everyone up to date and I have a lot to update on. Things have not been moving well with our adoption process. Part of the problem is that both Chris and I have not been very excited about the process. I am wondering if this is normal? Is this really the way God wants us to start our family?

Our adoption experience | One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life

One family's story – Insights into adoption, fostering, faith, and life. Sudden change (or maybe not). August 24, 2017. We started out on our journey toward adoption about 15 years ago. Our journey shifted toward fostering when a baby (now our son) became available, but he wasn’t available for adoption yet. We were presented with the option of foster to adopt. Why not, we thought. Fast forward about 2 years, and we are looking at expanding. It took a long time to finalize his adoption. That season is over.

Our Family Faith Walk

Our Family Faith Walk. For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7. Our Family Faith Walk. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Still Born, but Born Still. I heard a phrase once that stuck with me so much. "She was stillborn, but she was still born. What an incredible reminder. Lily was stillborn. Born still. Born sleeping. But she was born. Here is what I would like the rest of the world to know: Yes, it was a stillbirth. But it was still a birth. Our babies didn't just die! THEY WERE BORN TOO! Instead ...

Building By Adoption, Together With Love

Tuesday, February 5, 2013. In a lg (gallon) ziplock bad mix together 1 T Boraxo and I cup warm water. Mix until sudsay. In another lg (gallon) ziplock bag mix 1 cup of school glue with 1 cup of warm water. Combine the mixed bag of boraxo with the mixed bag of glue and add food coloring (we didn't have any with us at the hospital so ours remained white). Continue mixing until gak consistency is reached. Add rubber tubing or straws to blow bubbles in it for extra oral motor fun. Friday, April 20, 2012.

February 28, 2011. We have been home for over 90-days! It has been a very challenging and rewarding three months.
