The Kien Giang Province. Our hotel in Kien Giang. It was typical of most buildings in Vietnam. Tall and narrow. We were told by Thy that property is sold by the square foot. This is why. The hotel was about a block away from the Bay of Thailand. These hotel beds were typical of the 3 hotels we stayed in. The beds set very low to the ground. This picture was taken before 8:00 am. But soon it would be filled with scooters and cars. The beach was not one that you want to swim from.

Her first bath with us. She did pretty good until I was ready to wash her hair. Now she really loves the bath and will splash in it an hour if I would let her. A friend from work made Savannah this afgan. It was a life saver. No she isn't always good. She is teething. She has two top teeth and two at the bottom and several coming in. We didn't bring any orajel with us.

Giving and Receiving Ceremony. Here we are as we wait for the G&R Ceremony. This man was their version of the magistrate over the providence. He is handing us our official adoption papers. The G&R Ceremony is where we officially adopt our daughter in the eyes of the Country of Vietnam. It was a nice little ceremony. Mike had to give a speech thanking the Vietnamese people for our beautiful daughter. It was all very touching and heartfelt. Me completing the paperwork.

Our interpreter said that 80% of the population is Budhist with the remaining Catholic/Christian, The People's Religion, or the combination of all three (a new religion emerging that blends all 3). We did drive by several Catholic Churches. There was a large one near the center of town called Notre Dame. It is interesting to note that the French military and people were an influence in Vietnam since the early 1900s. Note the construction going on behind the centuries old building.

Spending Time with Savannah. She wakes up very pleasant. In the hotels the beds were very low to the floor but the bathtubs were high off the floor. At the Cherry it was just easier to give her a bathin the sink.

Monday, October 21, 2013. Things are going well around here. We are getting geared up for the holiday season. Yesterday was our third pumpkin patch in 3 days, so we're just about pumpkined out! I have been staying home with Max this year and loving every minute of it! Tuesday, June 4, 2013. The beginning of June brings us to our three year waiting mark. We have had some contacts, some scams, but nothing has blossomed to a meeting or a match. We are still waiting anxiously to become parents! Maybe it will happen soon. Thursday, May 9, 2013. I bet they knew she was hurt. We were all so happy! I just had to write about this since I was so emotional afterwards and just so happy that that family was not going to be sad tonight because their dog had ran away and got run over.
