Tuesday, July 13, 2010. It's time to post again. As a beginning artist I feel intimidated by the impressive work of others. I feel frightened to put myself out on the line. I feel scared that I may fail.I feel pressured to be incredible when I don't feel that I am yet. And so with the months passing since my graduation I have spent one 3 hour period half-heatedly creating art. So get excited. I am going to start posting these new projects. the good, the bad the surprising. Good luck to me!

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. These are the nicknames of my niece and nephews. The goal was to do them in the same style as the monkey. Sunday, December 15, 2013. Don't worry, she thought it was funny that E was pulling her tights off. The little lady's view. We've got a new occupant in the nursery. The airplanes have been moved to Ethan's big boy room and have been replaced by butterflies above the crib. These mobiles are so rewarding to make. Thursday, September 1, 2011. Here is what my kitchen table looks like right now! So Wednesdays are my art nights from now on. Don't bother me, I am very happily busy. Ha. I have been wanting to paint a monkey for the little monkey's nursery but the one I painted last week apparently looked like it was possessed. Friday, March 16, 2012. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time. I was watching Bambi with Ethan a few months ago and the credits at the very beginning had these fun watercolors of nature. So I decided to make similar paintings representing the four seasons. I got inspiration for the layout on BHG.com. (I'm a big fan of theirs.). Monday, July 2, 2012. Today I finished up the final details and should have stopped sooner. I think that's the hardest thing- knowing when to stop. Plus I should have mixed up more paint when I started. Remixing half way through is never a good thing. Remember to mix with the knife, not the brush!
