Wow, the fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to everyone's generous contributions we were able to make many much needed purchases for the orphanages, including a computer and printer, two electric stoves, a refrigerator, a washer and dryer, and 96 cans of formula and tons of diapers! View of Addis from our guest house. The kitchen at the orphanage where they cooked over an open flame.can't wait until they get to use their new stove! The supplies waiting to be distributed. Na at the orphanage!

Taken in NYC about one hour before we received our adoption referrals! So if you've landed here, perhaps you already know our story. But maybe you don't. So here you go. Like so many couples, after many of years of great marriage we wanted to start a family. Somewhere around the same time the hubs half of the equation decided to start a children's music project, Mr. Leebot, which allowed him better gig hours (! And an appreciative audience (how cute is it to have little tiny fans? Hmmmm, nowhere it seemed.

When we returned from our first trip and learned of the great needs at the orphanage, we shared this with friends and family. A friend in our Sunday School class in turn shared it with her kids. Her amazing 10 year old son Noah felt compelled to help. He started making and selling bracelets (made from computer wires- how cool is that? And has raised- hold on to your hats! Saturday, August 15, 2015. 6 1/2 Years Old.Tons of vacation time! What an incredibly fun month! We started off with a garage sale with Marion at our house. I had so much fun helping and setting things out, and running my Lemonade Stand. I made $9.85! A lot of people gave me tips and donations. I just really liked being a part of it. We went to Great-Grandma Rose's for a family get together. I haven't seen a lot of those people in a long, long time! Mommy introduced me to The Monkees! I have Monkee Fever!
