Wooden Optimist: December 2012
http://woodenoptimist.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Building the Clark Mills Plywood Optimist Pram. Saturday, December 8, 2012. Adding Hull Panels to the Optimist Pram. Adding the hull side panels was pretty straight forward. We hand-planed the chine logs so that they would be level along the bottom of the boat. We used 3/4" stainless steel woods crews from Jamestown Distributors. Were applied along the chine and stringers and things went well. A video of the experience:. Posted by K. Leonard. Labels: Installing Hull Panels. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wooden Optimist: Plans: Rudder 1954
http://woodenoptimist.blogspot.com/p/plans-from-rudder.html
Building the Clark Mills Plywood Optimist Pram. From: Dave Wright - WoodenBoat Forum. Location: Seattle, WA. We had canvas duck sails, the locale was windy, and they softened up quickly. Sprit and outhaul adjustments were satisfactory and made a difference. The original plans won't meet the current class requirements, but I'll post them here in case anyone gets the urge to knock one out. It's a real simple boat. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
