The egg whites have really been adding up around here since we started making our own mayonnaise. I keep them in the fridge in a one cup glass pyrex dish with a lid and a reusable label. I keep a tally on the label of how many egg whites are inside as I add them. When we get to six, we can make meringues! Pinch of sea salt. 3 Tbsp arrowroot powder. 1/4 Cup maple syrup. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. We love butternut squash (well at least my daughter and I do). Two years ago we tried growing it on trellises and found it was not only supper easy but we got a ton of them. There are a lot of ways we use this sweet creamy squash but one of my favorites is this lasagna. My daughters favorite is homemade raviolis! This is a great meal for the holidays we had it at Christmas since it can be put together before the big day and just popped in the oven. 3 cups grated mozzarella cheese.

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. This is a recipe I adapted slightly from the Healthy Snack to Go book by Katie Kimball. My kids love them and we have even made it as our Halloween pumpkin pie during GAPS intro. 1-4 tbs honey or maple syrup. Use butternut squash or other pureed winter squash for the pumpkin (carrots or sweet potatoes might work as well). Use any pumpkin spice you may like instead of the cinnamon and nutmeg.
