the house that [we] built

The house that [we] built. Because love doesn't pay the invoices. Thursday, June 4, 2015. The last 3 weeks have completely kicked our bums. We have lived in this house for two weeks, and I'm pretty sure unpacking will take a decade, give or take an eon. It was fixed pretty much right after I posted the last update. The REAL kicker? Thursday, sweet moving day came, and I managed to start with the delightful setback of breaking a toe. My fourth toe on my right foot actually. Which is a completely u...Pool ...

The house that [we] built. Because love doesn't pay the invoices. Monday, May 4, 2015. Should be Fingerprints : Polished Stainless Steel Countertops : Red Wine : Wooden Countertops but its not for my personal OCD. Le problème du jour:. This is already the second island countertop we've had installed as the first was the wrong size. This one has a veggie sink in it though, so there's that. However, we should have looked closer at the finish on that first slab, because.yeah. Appliances have showed up andar...

http://www.ourbuildingadventure.blogspot.com/2015/05/pushing-through-ugly.html

The house that [we] built. Because love doesn't pay the invoices. Saturday, May 9, 2015. Pushing through the Ugly. The Punch (Me) List has started. Floor stain choices - we went for the second from the left. A front door, a very tall one! Those windows are above me head and I'm not known for being petite in stature. These are very important things. Tiling of the phantom door/wall area is in progress. Finished floors, not finished mantle and ceiling beam. Slate is going in on the balcony. And in addition ...

the house that [we] built: Buggering Sod

http://www.ourbuildingadventure.blogspot.com/2015/05/buggering-sod.html

The house that [we] built. Because love doesn't pay the invoices. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Six days to closing and we have found the culprit. There is always something that threatens to hold us up on close, and this time it is grass. Last time it was a bath tub and plumbing permit - this time it is something that doesn't even go in the house. It doesn't even require a permit. All that rain we've had this year? The incessant deluge that has been this winter and spring? Except for the dang grass.

open mouth, insert foot: Those Brits are onto something

http://limesaregreatfruits.blogspot.com/2011/12/those-brits-are-onto-something.html

Thursday, December 22, 2011. Those Brits are onto something. How did my life ever feel complete without an enormous headdress which announces my presence 5 minutes before I've arrived? Better question, why am I wasting time trying on head bling in the 7th ring of hell that is the Galleria 4 days before Christmas? I am too that point where I am just trying to make it through the holidays unscathed. Forty-eight hours of jam packed family holiday time, followed by 8 (! Now, let's bake! Posted by I'm Marysia.

Carrots in, carrots out. Here we go again. They were trying to get dressed for the day but got distracted and started reading books. So awesome! Say what you will about our weather but we rode or bikes to get frozen yogurt today. I love Texas winters! Hanging out at the park this afternoon, enjoying the nice weather. Carrots in, carrots out. Here we go again. This cowboy needs some boots. He has. To wear his sisters until Christmas day! Because clearly I am dying…. Although mike has promised to pull the plug if it comes to that. First – big toenail lost in a freak accident, but required multiple visits to the doc to resolve. Next – shoulder – which turns out to be trapezoid sprain/strain (neck not shoulder) after a visit to the shoulder specialist, it will get better one day. And the final kick in the butt:.

Carrots in, carrots out. Here we go again. Every picture tells a lie. . Just so you know. If a photo shows up of me looking terrified on the seven dwarves mine train or the barnstormer kids roller coasters, I knew the camera was taking my picture and made that look on purpose. Last night was rough. Lucas was up at 3am and did not want to go back to bed. They are doing great today. She was mad because we didn't go in the castle today. Today is our heart cath day. Going well so far. A Photo A Day - Marysia.

Carrots in, carrots out. Here we go again. September is coming. 18 days until surgery, not that I am counting. We have a friend that has just checked into TCH for their fontan tomorrow. We will focus on praying for them now and take deep breaths to quell the panic. Im sure there are a million things I should be doing right now to prep for surgery, but the crazy has taken hold and I am jumping from one thing to another. The ONE THING for yesterday/today was wristbands. Check out our design. I think that i...

Carrots in, carrots out. Here we go again. Lucas tore open gifts and then went to the next, without even playing with them. Allie wants to open and play with every toy they got, today, including the messy craft stuff. She thinks we are really old. Allie - Did you have pens? Me - What, pens, at work? A - No when you were little. Me - Yes, of course, what did you think I had. A - I didn't know if you had pens or feathers. Did Daddy have feathers? Even when you were just born?
