Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Some exploring in the Adirondacks. There were twenty things to see and explore. We walked on paths, rocky steps and walkways, along river beds, into caves, and in the woods. The kids LOVED it! They especially liked the caves and the echo cave. The kids said I took way too many pictures. I say there were too many beautiful places to take pictures. Saturday, August 8, 2015. We went to the trail becaus...

Our Daily (G)races: March 2015

http://ourdailygraces.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Friday, March 27, 2015. The cast is gone and baseball is in full swing. It has been one week exactly since Jonah's cast came off for good! Is that not the happiest face! Elena and I spent tons of time watching Samuel practice his baseball skills this week. Monday we were at the field for two hours. Samuel is attending a 2 hour camp each Wednesday for the next many weeks. It was a great evening and we had fun. Today was rac...

Our Daily (G)races: It was only 85 degrees

http://ourdailygraces.blogspot.com/2015/08/it-was-only-85-degrees.html

Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Thursday, August 6, 2015. It was only 85 degrees. One of the best parts of spending our summers away from Houston is the weather. Seriously, the past two weeks have been lovely. Today was really nice.85, sunny, and breezy. It was pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday. Tomorrow is only supposed to be 80. It is 100 at home. Temps in the low 80's means we have to be outside. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Daily (G)races: Exploring Lititz one activity at a time

http://ourdailygraces.blogspot.com/2015/08/exploring-lititz-one-activity-at-time.html

Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Exploring Lititz one activity at a time. Yesterday we spent the day in Lititz. Lititz is a quaint old town in the middle of Lancaster County PA. I was looking forward to taking my kiddos to a place I remember visiting as a child. We have to photoshop Emma in so I can pretend she was with us! Our next stop was homemade ice cream for lunch. A summer bucket list item! Cutest pretzel there ever was!

Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Friday, February 27, 2015. The chaos of sickness. Don't even get me started on Drew. He needed IV fluids to begin the process of feeling back to normal. Since last Friday everyone has been majorly sick except for me and Samuel. I thank God several times a day that Samuel and I have been spared! A happy Samuel that he is not sick! On top of the stomach issues everyone had, Emma and Jonah also have strep. Yeah.why no...Samue...

Our Daily (G)races: November 2014

http://ourdailygraces.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Training to be the best wife, mom, runner, and person I can be each and every day. Sunday, November 23, 2014. It was so cold! And Thomas Rhett, The Josh Abbott band, and the Cody Johnson band. Last Tuesday I let the kids skip school and join us on an adventure to the Hill Country. We went to Brenham to tour the Blue Bell factory. Then we hit up Bucees because why not? Then we enjoyed the lovely weather and played at a super fun park in Tomball. Enjoying our "free" ice cream treat. Samuel starting playing...

Deep in the Heart of Texas: October 2013

http://jenn-heartoftexas.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. It's belt testing time again in the Goody household and Jake and Brian are still all in. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Brian's testing this time, but we made it for Jake's and got a few action shots of him kicking. And of course the board breaking, which is everyone's favorite. And so are we all. Posted by Deep in the Heart. Posted by Deep in the Heart. YMCA camping ...

Deep in the Heart of Texas: Advent

http://jenn-heartoftexas.blogspot.com/2013/12/advent.html

Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Monday, December 2, 2013. While Henry and Charlotte are still in town we had some family fun making our Advent wreath at church this morning. They had a variety of branches and embellishments and perhaps just a little bit more memorable for the kiddos at least, a hot cocoa bar with lots of cookies to keep up the energy for all that design work. Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Friday, December 20, 2013. They all word black and were given a ghotra head scarf to wear. If the video gods are smiling upon me I'll see if I can get the video uploaded; it really was cute. Maybe not as precious as the dancing flowers or Chinese Tea dance, but still worthy of a proud mama moment. Clara is scolding him now for not being very nice. Arms crossed, biting his tongue, looking at mom...

Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Monday, February 25, 2013. The first of the cousins' birthdays has come and gone and sweet little Tess-a-roo has turned seven. She had a crazy fun sleep over party with lots (and lots) of girls from her class, but we didn't want to miss out on all the fun. Aunt Jenn just had to bring home a few fancy schmancy cupcakes to hold candles for her to blow out. Posted by Deep in the Heart. I went i n.

Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Friday, December 6, 2013. So again, making this look more and more appealing. They play several different instruments, which all seem to resemble glockenspiels - at least to me. I'll have to ask Rachel all their names. Last night was their first showing - and they rocked it. They performed four different holiday pieces and the kids moved from instrument to instrument throughout the concert. Enjoyin...

And as an added bonus he was asked to help with board breaking for the younger set and specifically was able to hold Jake's board. Jake broke with a punch for the first time and as you can see, he was pretty proud of himself, even if it stung a little. Posted by Deep in the Heart. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Love you too, Bubs. Deep in the Heart of Texas. The stories of a mom with two not-so-little ones since returning home to Texas. Friday, December 20, 2013. It's school party day, which means it's officially Christmas Vacation! I might just be as excited as the kiddos. I'm always more than ready to enjoy a few weeks without having to rush out the door every morning. And of course, spending some good family time together never hurts. And one last shot with Rachel's teacher, the ever sweet Mrs. Gensrich. Deep in the Heart.
