Monday, September 15, 2008. Tony and Jaime of ReedMason Photography came over and got some fantastic shots for us. We're not sure how they did it, since Lily did not seem to want to cooperate. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. In case you've been wondering. The next day brought the good news that we were going home. We were energized by this. About eight hours and lots of paperwork later, we loaded up Lily in her car seat and headed home. The hospital facilities were great and the staff was awesome, but we were SO ready to take our little girl home and to sleep in our own bed. By the way, that night Lily slept "like a baby.". Dr Nadal, Lily's pediatrician. Kohl just adores his baby sister.

Saturday, September 20, 2008. Melissa had just laid Lily in her crib. Since she normally sleeps in a "Moses basket" next to our bed, Melissa decided to stand back and watch her reaction. She laid there for a minute just enjoying her mobile and moving her little arms around. All of a sudden, she started screaming and crying. Now, there is a difference between babies' cries. You can tell when the baby is just wanting/needing something and when they are hurting . This was the latter form.

Sunday, August 24, 2008. It is of Latin. Origin. Flower name: the lily. Of innocence and purity as well as beauty. It is of Old English. Origin, and its meaning is valley. Lily of the Valley. We live approximately 30 miles from the hospital. Melissa's contractions did nothing but intensify as we drove. Thank God the roads were clear. We only saw one law enforcement officer. Since it was all pretty much highway driving, we were there in no time. We only had to run one red light. August 24, 2008 at 11:55 AM.
