Conservation Matters: Being Consumed
http://conservationmatters.blogspot.com/2015/05/being-consumed.html
Monday, May 04, 2015. I recently heard a friend describe her life as being consumed by her gardening for a farmer's market. The next day I heard this term as a book title. William T. Cavanaugh’s book, Being Consumed: Economics and Christian Desire. Eerdmans, 2008), explores our free market economy. He critically examines world hunger, globalization, economic abundance, and consumerism as being flawed. Is about a larger story about how money affects all facets of our lives and the larger moral questions.

Mr Shultz urges for leveling the playing field to combat carbon emissions. Let’s hope other Republican leaders take notice of this respected leader. Saturday, October 11, 2014. Will Work: Caring for Myself, Family and Country. Americans have yet to address healthcare efficiency as a priority. Health care reform offers an enormous potential for boasting the economy's prospects. If we can emulate Canada and only spend 11% of GDP on health care we would save $950 billion a year. [1]. In the last five years I have been taking care of all aspects of my Dad’s affairs. My expertise is in pollution prevention and recycling oil, paper and other secondary mate...

Monday, June 09, 2014. Uniting Not Dividing America. There is nothing more conservative than conservation. What can America afford today? Can all of us agree that is it better to waste less and save more? Shakespeare once said, " action is eloquence. Our country will sustain us only if we sustain it. Let's benefits and preserve these benefits. We can double our money by folding it up and placing it back into our collective pockets if only we can better invest it in what matters most. Conserva...

Thursday, May 28, 2015. Today's U.S. economic inequality threatens American's very freedom. More alarming our future economic growth is being undermined. It is not just that a CEO may make 300 times more than what his workers make-there is a fundamental misbalance of haves with the have-nothings. Certainly not our government or the private sector. These economics have serious national security impacts and social ramifications that we, the people will have to address. Maybe we can create a cap on billiona...

Sunday, January 11, 2015. Observe Jan 16 and Shout Out for Solar Day! Since the 1970’s I have advocated solar power and worked with the Solar Lobby and other groups. I help build solar homes and much more. Let’s give the Sun a chance to give us greater energy. Support giving solar power its investment tax credit (ITC) that expires in 2016. We give it to coal and oil why not solar? Supported by both business and environmental groups, hundreds of thousands of people from across the United States and around...
