Day Trip to Gualaceo and Chordeleg. September 19, 2016. January 29, 2017. Recently, our good friends, Noshy and Alfredo invited us to go on a field trip to the nearby towns of Gualaceo and Chordeleg. The garlic chicken roasting. After lunch we continued our drive and Alfredo pulled in to a small, unassuming business with a sign that said, La Casa de La Makana. Unbeknownst to us, this would be the highlight of the trip as we were able to meet the famous artisan, Jose Jimenez and his wife, Anna Maria.
