Gardening Adventures from the North...: So many choices...
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2009/02/so-many-choices.html
Saturday, February 7, 2009. I need to order my seeds. But I can't decide what I want. I keep changing my mind, second guessing myself, and adding things to my list that I can't possibly have room for. I want to grow some perennials, but my last year's seed growing experience with perennials wasn't great. I didn't grow that many, so maybe the ones I choose this time will grow better? Also, I have lots of seeds leftover from last year. Do they last for more than one year? Blue Mirror Chinese Delphinium.

Gardening Adventures from the North...: 6 months later...
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2009/01/6-months-later.html
Saturday, January 24, 2009. If anyone still checks up on me, any suggestions for what I should plant in front of giant snapdragons in a raised bed? I think I am going to plant snapdragons up against the house in my raised beds, but I am not sure what to put in front. Maybe some dark blue lobelia cascading over the edge? Do I need something mid-height in between? Glad you're back. How tall are your snapdragon? January 24, 2009 at 8:26:00 PM PST. January 24, 2009 at 10:48:00 PM PST. Subscribe To My Blog.

Going Green: The Lawnmower Dilemna. Bought more seeds today. A Walk in the Park. My new addiction: Blotanical (a little shout-out! Monday, April 28, 2008. Going Green: The Lawnmower Dilemna. We need a lawn mower. We don't have one, and we have grass to mow this year. I have learned a few things about lawn mowers recently. The main thing being that mowing your lawn for 1 hour produces the same carbon emissions as driving your car 500km. So, what is a girl to do? What would you do? Are on the rise. So, I'v...

Gardening Adventures from the North...: December 2007
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
I know. it's been a year. Wednesday, December 5, 2007. I was struck today thinking about how early literacy experiences involving patterns and repetition are crucial in young students developing the ability to read. I was in a kindergarten class today and a girl came up to me and asked if she could "read me a story." Kindergarten students can't really read, so I was intrigued and told her to pull up a chair and get her book. The book was Eric Carle's "Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you See? Links to this...

It's nice to be liked. Thursday, November 23, 2006. It's nice to be liked. I had a unique experience this morning as I entered a school I have spent a lot of time in but haven't been at for about a week. As I was walking up the stairs several students asked "are you in our class today? Links to this post. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gardening Adventures from the North. Gardening Adventures from the North...: Anyone have a lily garden?
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2009/02/anyone-have-lily-garden.html
Anyone have a lily garden? Sunday, February 1, 2009. Anyone have a lily garden? So, I spent many hours this weekend looking at garden catalogues and websites, and have come to the conclusion that I need a lily garden. (I should have been marking and prepping for this week, but I sat on my couch and looked at plant pictures.). How many plants do I need per square foot? And what other perennials should I put in with them. I loved the geraniums and annuals. Anything I should look out for? Thanks for faving ...

Gardening Adventures from the North...: June 2008
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 18, 2008. So, I've been saving these pictures to post for awhile. I got new planters for the front of my house for my birthday, and we replaced the old ones. They were so rotten that they fell apart when my husband tried to pick them up. I love the new ones, although if it was a little bit warmer I think the plants would be doing better. Gardening Adventures from the North...: Orchid Love
http://breanner.blogspot.com/2009/02/orchid-love.html
Sunday, February 15, 2009. I went out of my way this year to make sure my husband was not going to spend a ridiculous amount of money on roses again this year. I told him that any type of plant that grows in dirt, and is still alive when you purchase it is fine - I don't need roses - I don't even particularly like roses. Pepperomia, A Poinsettia, A Martha Washington Geranium I was trying to overwinter, and something else - but I can't even remember what it even was. What a gorgeous Phalaenopsis! I kind o...
