Alt-Country, Americana, and Folk music blog. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Opened for She and Him, and are definitely worth checking out. I think they sort of border on cheesy (in a less intentional way than She and Him does) but it's easy to see past it, especially after watching them live. Form Function. Folk. Hamsas as a blessing. Collection of hand painted clay hamsa to ward off the evil eye and attract good luck. I cut these four inch hamsas from clay and hand painted them with acrylic paints in detailed designs. My designs are inspired by henna artistry, as well as textiles and color palettes found in Morocco.
