Educating Evelyn: Christmas
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/02/christmas.html
Saturday, February 9, 2013. It started with a note and some cookies the night before:. And the excitement really peaked when they came up the stairs. Which called for some immediate bonding time. And then some eating of treats in the stocking:. Okay, so maybe not some, but all. Of the treats in the stocking. One at a time. She went for the lollipops. Opened a present that was wrapped like a candy. And then ate her three lollipops at the same time. Unfortunately, I'm serious. 2-Our girls do not get much i...

Educating Evelyn: March 2012
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. December was full of fun activities and get-togethers. We had a great time enjoying some of the various family gatherings, activities with friends, and of course the family drive down to Texas for the holidays. Among the first of our activities this month, was an impromptu gathering to make Christmas cookies:. Chris' sister, Marne,` was a real help, she made sure Santa remembered to stop by our place by reminding him of how good (at least) one of us was:. The "children" acting out...

Educating Evelyn: November 2012
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 30, 2012. The girls and I made it safely to Virginia- Grace was a tired mess, and I had a headache, but other than that, all was well. The girls settled in to life at Mimi's pretty well. Josh and Caroline were gone for a few days shortly after we arrived- Caroline was receiving her masters! The girls enjoyed spending time with J-Pa and over the course of the four weeks we were there Grace had a couple of opportunities to have J-Pa comfort her:. Somehow we managed to have fun again. Multi...

Educating Evelyn: Four Generations
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/02/four-generations.html
Wednesday, February 13, 2013. We had New Year's Day dinner with GP (Chris' paternal grandmother) and managed to remember to take a generations picture. Chris a little blurry, so we'll definitely be taking another, but I thought I'd share what we captured:. Tom and Jen Loveland Family. I think this picture is great and it makes me miss when we lived down there and got to see Grandma once a week at least. You are so lucky! February 13, 2013 at 2:33 PM. Educating Evelyn: Kaitlyn & Sasha
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/02/kaitlyn-sasha.html
Monday, February 11, 2013. We were excited to have Chris' sister, Kaitlyn, join us from London (before departing to Turkey) for a couple of weeks. Not only was it fun to have Kaitlyn around, but her friend, Sasha, had a change of plans and also joined us for a week during the Christmas holiday. We didn't actually take many more pictures of, or with, them except those in this post (save a few lovely. Addie and Grace both love having big playmates. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Educating Evelyn: Addie & Grace
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/02/addie-grace.html
Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Despite having her around for four-and-a-half years now, Addie never ceases to amaze me. From the questions she asks, to the random, astute, comments she makes, I often find myself in wonder at her. This girl is also a sponge. She asks questions and recalls with ease the responses we give her. It is amazing to hear her respond to our questions, or overhear her talking with Grace, and speak so knowingly (and correctly) about things we've only discussed in passing. We worry some...

Educating Evelyn: Getting Ready For Christmas
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/02/getting-ready-for-christmas.html
Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Getting Ready For Christmas. Chris' parents bought a fake Christmas tree this year and when we (I'm being generous to myself. Reach is limited when you're less than four feet tall, and the bottom of our tree was definitely better decorated than the rest of it for a few days:. The local library held a Christmas event that included a visit from Santa. Addie was the first to talk with him. As you may be able to tell, she was pretty excited to visit with the Jolly Fellow:.

Educating Evelyn: February 2012
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. Back in September we had a fun family outing. our family of four extended family: Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Dora. Although cars were parked everywhere possible we managed to get a parking spot at the entrance to the trail. which we were very grateful for- it prevented our 20 year old with special needs, our 3 year old and 15 month old from having to walk at least an extra mile or two. Addie did a great job of walking much of the way:. On our way back down the trail we were joi...

Educating Evelyn: December 2012
http://educatingevelyn.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. July 2012: A Visit With Friends. Landon and Addie are just 6 months apart in age. And Macy's not too much older than Grace. But, as is somewhat visible in these group photos, both Landon and Macy are a good bit taller than our girls. I guess that's to be expected when you have one set of parents that's between 5'9" and 6'2" and the other set (us) is between 5'5" and 5'9". =D. Links to this post. Thursday, December 6, 2012. July 2012: A Day at the Zoo. Checking out a wolf's coat:.
